easton S17 skate white

Recommended Posts

happy new year to everyone !!

......I am trying to find another pair of easton S17 skates , size 9W , preferably in white as I already have 2 black ones !!

sure I have checked all the big online suppliers as well as the few local LHS I have been to while being in the US.

.....but no 9W in sight !!

....maybe one of you guys knows a place where they are still available !!??

thx a lot !!

Your best bet would likely be to try Ebay, if the online suppliers no longer have the skate it is likely really tough to come by at a LHS.

Good Luck!

The sizing for Easton skates is really wierd for me. I know that you often have to go up in size into Easton but never to my extent. I size to an 8 and would fit such in a Bauer boot for example. I wear S15s in a perfect size 8.5 (nbd, expected) but I have to go into a size 9.5 in the S17s... a jump of 1.5 sizes. Odd, but just be sure you fit into a particular size in Easton skates before buying.

......I already have 3 pairs of S17 's .......strange they all fit slightly different ...my newest pair is spot on , just feathering the toes !!

if you are 8,5 in S15 you should not go larger than 9 on the S17 , as after baking and one skate it will get half to a full size bigger .

thx for the link , will try it immediately

Since when does baking change your skate size...

....since I bought two pairs in 9,5 as my previous Z-airs ....they were perfect in the store but way too big after baking and one skate !!!

Who's to say that one skate will act and react the exact same as another model?

I am not referring to another model nor do I generalize ...all I am saying that all of my 3 S17's reacted the same way .....they were too short at first but after baking and one skate the size was spot on ......and my buddy to whom I sold my first 9,5 W reported the exact same thing after getting his second new pair of S17's .....

Ahh I see, maybe you could've reworded that differently then because I interpreted it that way. I really hope Easton continues to re-standardize their lengths, I've been all over the board with everything from the 1500's all the way to the current EQs.

...still searching white S17's in 9W !!

tried the RS yesterday ...it fits like the EQ50 with better heel lock and runs half a size smaller than the S17.....and it looks better in reality than in pictures !!

I second that, my se16 white and my current s17 seemed too small when walking around the house.but after a skate or two im not even feathering the front anymore

it sounds like the heel wasn't wide enough for you. After baking the heel got wider and allowed your foot to slide back more. Someone with less width in the heel isn't going to have the same gain in space.

Apparently not.

We were told in October that it was being held back, and the catalogue is proof of that.

However, I heard of one retailer who has already seen it, and says it will be a June launch.

I'll contact them and find out what's going on.
