two piece. bottom half get the new bauer stuff. It has the cup pocket on the INSIDE (so it stays close to your body) and is amazing as moisture wicking.

I've had Shock Doctor & UnderArmour jocks, I like them both - they both have the cup pocket on the inside & velcro areas to hold your socks up. I've used UnderArmour short sleeve compression shirts & the long sleeve hockey specific version with the grip print on the elbows, shoulders & chest - I like them both, but am currently wearing the long sleeve hockey version only, I find that even though it is over 100 outside here in Texas that I am not too hot inside the rink wearing the long sleeve shirt.

Two piece, definitely. Out of all the shirts I have tried, I find the Bauer Supreme to be the most comfortable.

For shorts/jock, I like the Shockdoctor with the flex cup, but there are many too choose from, all doing pretty much the same thing.

Oh I should mention I use a shock doctor cup in my bauer shorts. The cup that comes with the bauer shorts kinda sucks.

I'm gonna try the new bauer stuff with the NG 37.5 fabrics when I get paid.

The new Bauer Cocona 37.5 stuff is awesome. definitely a noticeable difference to me from other wicking materials. make sure you find that 37.5 logo as not all bauer stuff has it.

Thanks! I already friggin love the Bauer baselayer stuff, so if the 37.5 is even a tiny bit better over the previous models I'm sure I'll be happy.

The quality of the WSI stuff is really great as well. Harder to find nowadays unless you buy directly from the WSI site.

A little note, no one has mentioned yet. Fit varies a lot by brand, in terms of length of arms and torso length. Might be something to keep in mind. In terms of upper body garments, I have found Easton to be typically the shortest out of the lot and UA to be the longest.

Absolutely. I bought a long sleeve shirt and the sleeves are a good 6" beyond the length of my wrists. I guess I could take them to get hemmed...

Just picked up the Elite Padded Jocks from Bauer. Really need some extra padding on the hips and tailbone and the 37.5 liner is awesome. But like Optimus said, I swapped the Bauer cup with my old synergy jock cup. Felt much better.

I have the premium, didn't feel I needed the extra pads, but its nice. as stated, the Mueller cup that comes with is garbage, might switch out soon.

Amirro, just wondering how thick are those poron pads? Meaning do they help when you fall on your hip or butt? I was thinking on getting the premium one with jock and 37.5 stuff. Does it really work like they claim?

The new Bauer 37.5 stuff is a tad "salty" price wise. It's great though. I generally do under armour cause I'm brand loyal. Every company now though makes good base layer products.

When I was first getting back into hockey and shopping for gear, I thought the one piece base layer would be nice, to just feel real svelte and not have any ruffling around the midsection to worry about with a base layer shirt. But, then I thought, "What happens when you have to go #2 in the middle of a skate, and you are wearing the one piece base layer?" Just ponder the exhaustion you would have to endure, to get properly sorted, if wearing a one piece base layer. Yea, that would take alot of time.

I wear the new Bauer 37.5 with padding short sleeve shirt. I like it, but it does not stay dry. I am a big time sweater, it seems to maybe stay a tad more dry, but that is subjective and may just be a result of my hydration and exertion levels. I mostly got it for the rib protection, as my shouldies offer no coverage there.

I am considering the Bauer 37.5 padded pants for the tailbone protection. Presently in Shock Doctor padded long jock pants, which are treating me well enough.
