Reebok 16K's to Bauer Supreme 190's

Recommended Posts

Used to own Reebok 16K's, but the tendon guard was ripping off - even after repair. I really liked the fit and feel of the boot, but I wanted to find something that would be more durable for the coming years. In come the Bauer Supreme 190's - I played my first game with them yesterday; stiffness felt great, but the neutral pitch is something I'm not sure I can overcome. What are some common methods to alter the pitch of the 190's to closely match my old 16K's?

Do the shim. It's harder for your sharpener to screw up. 1mm should be fine, 2mm will be slightly more aggressive. The EPro holder also has a 10' radius while the Tuuk steel has a 9', you may need to switch that to be comfortable.

Would an Epro holder be able to be switched onto a 190 skate? Any possible reasons to not do it?
