CCM Hockey and SISU Mouthguards Announce New Partnership

Recommended Posts

I believe it is a rule at most youth levels that the mouthpiece has to be attached to the cage, as a safety measure.

Gotcha, I didn't know that. Thanks!

I was wondering because obviously functionally theres no reason to ever take it out during a game so I was confused.

Well, it's a rule to wear a mouthguard as a squirt, but not a rule to have the mouthguard attached to the cage. However, my kid is so used to having his mouthguard attached to his cage, which makes it 100x easier since it's easy to access and no need to unbuckle the cage. 10 year olds are clumsy and I can just see them dropping the mouthguards all over that dirty floor...

How do you keep it from getting dirty always attached to the cage?

I use one of those shock doctor mouthguard cases, it clips right onto my cage and covers the entire guard. although with my sisu guard it sometimes pokes out the bottom just a tad because its so thin.

I just received a couple of these. got one for my son and myself. I am completely impressed with it, it molds really well, is nearly un-noticeable, breathing is not hampered and you can talk as if nothing were there.. Mine locks into my teeth, I literally need to pry it out of my teeth. If swallowing your MG is a concern, I don't think you could because these fit so well.

My sons entire variety team is going to be ordering them. Great product, CCM or not.

as for the OP original question, obviously there is a lot of positive feedback on these guards in the mouthguard thread. I think the CCM partnership will help the guard in terms of more people trying it (brand recognition) as well as more places stocking it. I wouldn't be surprised if it also leads to some sort of attachable version

I wash/rinse it for him sometimes and really as long as it doesn't touch the floor, I consider it clean (well mostly)

thanks for the feedback guys. We've always received great reviews from the modsquad and we are so grateful for your support.

Please let me know what questions I can answer about the guards or about the CCM partnership.

thanks

(Rita)
