I really like the new quarter on the 50K's, not to mention the handful of other solid upgrades/updates. IMO, it just might be worth the price difference between the closeout Reebok's and the non-discounted 50K's.

I had Tacks, but was getting major rub on my left big toe.......Tried on the Ribcors last week and they felt really nice......I guess I'll wait......

I work at a hockey shop and can get em from the manufacturer for a sweet price.....hopefully.

Hopefully that includes a better tongue. Current RibCore skates have short, wide, weird tongues IMO.

Found some info today. Sounds like some decent upgrades over the current version. They really seem to be touting the comfort factor, even right out of the box. All of which sounds interesting and I really like the updated design.

I just got done playing in a tournament last weekend with them. They're really comfortable and don't seem to sacrifice performance. I've never really skated in wheels with the Pump or Lace-Lock, I'm hooked now.

Fit is similar to ribcore for sure. This is ccm way of throwing there own three headed monster to compeat with bauers 3 option approach.

1) is the 50K lighter than the previous Ribcore

2) Has the liner changed at all to improve durability

3) Has the fit changed at all

4) what is the new quarter package like stiffness wise

Currently have the Ribcores and am wondering if they improved the skate significantly in any of these or other areas.

I noticed on IW's site, the "fit description" of the boot has a narrow heel. Now I know you have to take this with a huge grain of salt, but in the past they've always described reebok/k series skates with a medium to wide heel which I typically agreed with. So is there any truth to the fit of the heel being a narrower fit than past generations?
