Relining skates

Recommended Posts

Lining on 28k's is coming apart at the top. It's a cloth liner and the interior is starting to show

Wondering if anyone has had their skates relined with a leather or clarino, or something more durable. And better yet, more grabby, like as it gets wet it grabs the back of your foot and heel better.

And where to get it done. I'm in Pittsburgh and not sure if any shops even does something like that.

I had my 8090s (both pairs) relined with Clarino, from the heel to the mid-foot. The Clarino was overlaid on top of the original, torn liner and sewn in. It was done in Calgary.

I used some scraps of palm saver (sold for glove repair) to patch over some worn spots in my heels before. Lasted longer then the original liner. It did not add any grip though.
