Labeda Addictions fallen apart in 12 hours

A team mate purchased the Bauer 1XR last week, this weekend was his 2nd skate on them on a sport court surface, 4 games later the red RV Variant+ are splitting down the middle. Not sure how yours are holding up but he is another skater now looking for an alternative wheel.

the revisions went back on and have held up ok so far. i took a puck to the front wheel and it has a small chip in the middle but other than that they are ok.

They grip really well but the top speed feels a little impacted over the addictions. They are decent enough wheels so far but havent had them long enough to offer a proper evaluation on them yet.

Stick with the Labeda grippers. Amazing wheels.

Justin has said he will have a response for me today.

this is my first set of labeda wheels and really I am unimpressed that I have to be doing this on a set of £100 wheels.

I had rink rats before this and they were fine. nothing special really but they held up a lot better than this.

I just want a resolution to this. I might give the grippers a go given how much cheaper they are but my confidence in the brand is knocked a fair bit after this. It would be understandable on one wheel maybe, but 6 out of 8?

It could just be a bad batch, a team mate recently had 7 out of 8 addictions peel of the hub after 2 games but Labeda are fixing things up.

Since I am learning more and more regarding wheel manufacturing, sometimes there are bad batches. There is really no way to tell, since they look and feel identical, and it is not every wheel. I know Labeda will always stand behind the product and make things right if wheels should fall apart.

ughhh.. i hate to be the guy that jumps on this..ive reached the 15 hr mark, and my labeda addictions have started splitting..with the worst starting to chunk... im slightly disappointed as the softer dynasties that came on my Shift+ skates lasted 10 months before they got to this state.. :( the addictions are an awesome wheel though. Im hoping its just a couple of bad wheels in the set

Labeda have contacted me with an update and are getting new wheels to me soon.

I received a new set of replacement addictions for the 7 that had stripped off the hub, many thanks to Labeda for fixing this up.

mine have been in transit for ages. us postal service are taking their sweet time.

they are in the UK but have been at the sorting facility for over a week now

Im really happy with how Labeda (and Justin) have sorted this. Yep it was annoying the wheels originally broke down prematurely, however; the way Labeda has helped me (even living in the UK) has been exceptional. Think i will be sticking with Labeda from now on! Cheers Justin
