Reebok premier jersey fit?

Ok here's one for you PHEWs...

The other night, I did a fill in for a team that had Blue jerseys..I did NOT have one, so a teammate loaned me his Buffalo sabres Reebok jersey.

It fit perfectly, and was quite comfortable too. I checked the size on it, and to my surprise it was a XXL. WTF? I'm assuming this was NOT the NHL reebok EDGE jersey, but the Premier?

Can anyone confirm that the premier sizes run really small? I'm 5'9 on a good day, 165. I SWIM in an XL on most other jerseys.

I'd like to order a Bruins jersey in the premier style, but wanted to double check before I pulled the trigger, as I like the price of them.

Unfortunately I don't know about that jersey sizing specifically.. but this link:

Anyway. If you're talking about the Premier Blank ones from places like Hockey Monkey, then they are simply the replica ones available from the NHL store "replica" jerseys (not the Authentic Edge, which has a numerical sizing).

These typically fit slimmer, and are a tapered fit through all the sizes (they are "anatomical" to a body shape, and don't just increase equally in all dimensions as they go up in size), which is why you seem to fit in a XXL no problem. They are designed to be worn like regular garments.

Our team uses them for our uniforms, and while I usually fit a small jersey (5' 7", 140) in all other brands, I was comfortable with a medium as it gave me a bit more length without being much wider.

The Reebok Premier jerseys run a bit more generous than older style jerseys. I used to wear Large CCM 550 Semi-pro jerseys with gear but a Medium Reebok Premier fits fine.

The premier is Reebok's replica NHL jersey. It's not made as well as the official ones, but are cheaper, and look pretty good. really lightweight too..
