  1. Just thought I'd add my own comment...

    lost my thought...

    sorry

  2. shoulda kept the laces white.. why doesn't your team have stripe socks? it would make the unis together better. overall..good look. i'd just change the socks and the laces. Does it really matter what a persons laces look like?? Since when were laces part of ANY team uni? Might as well ghange eye color too.
  3. update: I wear the same stuff (previously posted) 'cause it's still good!
  4. David takes his work very seriously! I've searched getty and can't seem to find a pic with his tongue not sticking out of his mouth. I just wish I had 1/3 of his talent! Great goal tonight David, bummer the refs were retarded enough to waive the goal while they shoved you in the net. Cudos, also, on the physical play in the corners in the 3rd period.
  5. Great point to set the budget 'eh? The head and brain stem! Great idea idiot parents!
  6. Sickening, isn't it!? At least I can tell you that Andy Hilbert got into the NHL on his own (NY Islanders). His little sis' had no rules. He grew up across the street from me, I'm leaving it at that. But, when his sister rolled her new car (at age 16) she got to drive the Porshe to school. Andy NEVER got those opportunities. He's a self made man.
  7. As for hockey equipment. I HAVE NEVER asked a LHS to price match online pricing. I want my LHS to still be in business when I need new equipment. If I start forcing them to LOSE MONEY where will they be when I need them? I'm still in sales, I hear it all
  8. My folks store was auto parts... guy comes in for brake rotors and pads... He wants CHEAP!!! We only sold Wagner (not cheap) his response... "It's just my son's car" my response... "It's cheaper to buy a gun and kill him yourself, you want to give your son a 3000 pound truck, with no brakes... then I guess you're dumber than you look. Do you actually love or care about your children?" He left, came back and bought the brake components from my step-dad, couldn't face me... I was 14 years old.
  9. TY TBL But I do not think that's happening here. Finally, a mature thread :D
  10. I've worked retail as a commissioned salesman, been a part of my parent's store and waited tables. Every dime counts!
  11. +1 TBL A little story ensues.... When I was training in Karate (Okinowan Goju-ru Katate Do to be exact), we went from Michigan to Pennsylvania for training (Gasshu-ku). We had 2 religious women in our midst. We went to a restaurant and got served by a (obviously) new waitress. The "religious" girls refused to leave a tip! I gave the waitress a couple pointers AND covered the idiots tips. Long story short, it's harder than you think! Try feeding yourself when you are cast into a job that makes no sence and requires direct payment from customers. It's difficult as hell!
  12. I have another code... ID 10 T... take the spaces out B)
  13. Do you guys honestly believe that your stories are exclusive to hockey? I've been involved with retail my entire life... "same sh*t, different day"! I, personally, believe that EVERYONE should be required to spend a semester working for tips or comission as a requirement for graduation! Let the whole world become a part of the B.S. Perhaps , after that, this wouldn't be an issue anymore.
  14. Yeah... that's not just a hockey thing, it's a public reations thing. If I shared all of my experiences (in all the types of retail) that I've been through, it would take a whole server. People really are strange at times.
  15. Hasn't David been playing with Weight? Let's not forget to see the forrest for the trees people... Don't complaign about David's coach (and team) keeping him out of a situation that could, potentially turn disasterous and make him (David) look like a ass. Remember, Weight is gone. Why is it that David is more patient with HIS CAREER then we seem to be? Let him get used to his teammates for craps-sake so he can play to HIS potential. He's a future, first string winger.... unless he's put in a position where HE doesn't know his teammates habits and he makes a mistake based on his comfort and ability with his former line. We're here to support David, not act like overzealous parents with insane expectations! Can we please sit back and watch him turn into Hall of Famer without all the scrutiny? Did we all seem to forget that David's TOO IMPORTANT to the Blues to sacrifice to another competition? That's what his coach said. Let's just be happy, for David, that he's in the show and be patient.
