Millionth post on MSH!
Over the past few months, we had been watching the post count to determine when the millionth post would be posted on MSH. After running queries against the server (we really don't delete posts; we will hide from view) and so we wanted to make sure that the post we would find would be the one that actually changed the post count to 1,000,000. That post was this one: https://modsquadhockey.com/forums/topic/72472-girdle-shell-alterations/?do=findComment&comment=1125215 What's even bet

Ultrasonic skates
Just wondering if anyone has tried on the new Bauer Ultrasonic skates . Or maybe even skated with them . What did you think ?
Profile: Quad 2, too much pitch, how much to remove?
I have been skating on Quad 2 (280mm runners) for the last month, and while I like the profile, it has a lot of forward pitch, much more than Zuperior M, which I find has a good amount of pitch. The Quad 2 feels a bit extreme due to this. It is immediately noticeable as soon as you take off your skate guards, you feel like you are standing on a hill. I do like being forward pitched, but this is just a little too much. Q1: Does anyone know how much mm/degrees of pitch you should remove to ma
The Sweet Spot
Obviously the "Venting Spot" has been very popular and it makes sense since it seems like there is always bad things happening to everyone, me included. I thought it would be good to have a place for people to post up good things that have happened to them lately. I'll get it started: Apparently the IRS will fix your return for you if you mess up even if it means that you get more money. My tax return went up $600 because of some error on my part. That is awesome. I figured that the governme
Ask me anything about the Marsblade R1
I am Petter and work as a product development engineer at Marsblade. Over the past year, together with the rest of the development team, I have been working specifically on developing the R1 chassis for roller hockey. From the first sketches on a white sheet, to final prototype testing with pro players. Personally I feel convinced that this new chassis can change the whole sport of roller hockey. If you have any questions about the new chassis, from a product development perspective, I will
Ribcore Titanium Skates
Just picked up a Titanium by Ribcore on clearance. Its the one that was based on the 76k with the black tongue and added height in the steel that I don't see at all. I got it because it by far on of the best fitting skates I have ever tried on and wanting to get the new old stock ribcores out there in the stores. I will say thats its a heavy skate, much more hefty than my Supreme M4 that is in the same mid level performance level. CCM RIBCOR Titanium Senior Hockey Skates (2019) (theh

Adjusting pivot point back to neutral
I've seen several posts regarding adjusting the pivot point on the AS2001 to compensate for pitched profiles if refreshing a profile. What happens if you want to adjust the pivot point back to neutral? Would there not also need to be an adjustment that needs to be made if returning the runner to a neutral pivot point?
Liking Quad 2 but looking for some tweaks
So some of you maybe saw my recent skate fitment journey. Had my new Vapor skates profiled with quad 2, 11/16 roh, just like my previous Ribcors overall I like this profile but I’d like maybe a little more grip/bite/explosion and more agility (had difficulties to initiate quick turns tonight). i don’t mind losing some glide since I find quad 2 has plenty of it. Quad 2 feel light and smooth but id like maybe a tiny more heavy feeling. should I stay with quad 2 and focus more on s
Bauer’s Factory Profile
I read the Bauer’s factory profile is set at what I am assuming is a Quad Zero due to the radio (6ft-9ft-11ft-13ft) out of the box. Pro Sharp lists this as a size 7-8 skate. Does this mean that if one has a junior size 1-2, the Bauer factory profile would be a Quad 3XS (4ft-5ft-7ft-10ft)? I have new Step Steel Blacksteel and want to possibly profile them with a Quad 3XS for my squirt. I’d like him to skate in the profile prior and if the Bauer factory profile matches Pro Sharp’s Quad profiling,

Then stopped and played only maybe 8-10 times/winter at local public outdoor hockey rink just for fun until mid 30s.Then restarted in beer league at 35. Now in my late 30s. I'm a forward. I'd say a good skater and a tad faster then average skaters. Almos

CCM SuperTacks AS-V Pro Total Custom Skates
I have worn a bunch of True skates in the past, and these ones have been my favourite so far and by far the best for durability. Very impressed with these once I dialed in the fit.

Bauer Re-Akt 200
I've been wearing this helmet for the past year and have found it to be very comfortable once adjusted.i'm getting older and I wanted something that offered protection. I just happened to be run into by a player on another team who is a good 75lbs larger then me. Needless to say we both went down and I hit the back of my head pretty hard. I basically ended up with a sore neck; never felt anything to the back of my head, never lost consciousness or headache, virtually no signs of concussion. I fe
Bauer Re-Akt 200
Hey, I recognize that this post was 4.5 yrs ago, but I am in the same situation you were in then. Got a ReAkt 200 large online, like the helmet, but am near the bottom of the adjustment range and have the same reservations you did: moves a bit too much and bit too much room on the sides. I'm tempted by your experience to try a medium as my head is a touch more oval than round, but don't want to get on a 'no order' list by getting and sending back yet more stuff (this has been a frustrati
Bauer 2X Pro
The month of January was a particularly busy month on the ice. I'm assistant coaching our 14U blue (house) team, joint coaching our 14U white (house select) team, occasionally working with another local travel 12U team, and getting calls to skate in pickup slots when numbers are low (basically on-call because I live across the street from the rink - it's as close to a heaven on earth situation). It's been about a 4 day a week ice time month with my 2X Pros. So far, lots of positive things t
Rezztek
I've been using Rezztek for about a month now. That includes 8ish hours of beer league/private scrimmage time, and 5ish hours of 3v3 outdoor hockey. I'll upload the pictures - some obvious scuffing, fraying, and battle scars, but the feel is the same, and I'm enjoying it. I'll probably remove what's there and replace it with new strips very soon. I went from full heel-to-around-the-toe TJ + the dankest wax I could find to this, and it was an adjustment of about 2-3 shifts + warmups.
