  1. Hmmmm. Really disappointing to see that the account has been verified as an employee of sorts. Ive had nothing but awesome experiences with both the employees and the products. Ive had to change two of my orders before post invoicing and had no issues. Ben has been awesome and I was someone who encouraged him to jump on here since they got such a bad rap. Wish they would jump on here and explain it, but it seems at this point that its legit and they dont want to respond. Shame!!! The product has been great for the price. Sticks, socks, and tape all perform really well for super cheap depending on the time of purchase (coupon deals rock).
  2. Thinking about making the Alkali RPD Comp my next skate, but Im a little worried about the general fit. I have a wider foot and need a little extra room in the forefoot and toe areas. I currently skate on the Tour Thor LX5 in a size 10. They are a little long but fit nice and wide. Any recommendations? Are these skates right for me?
  3. I saw the coupon today for the gloves. The site is very vague and I would like to know more about the fit and style. Ben, can you guide me here? For reference, I wear the Bauer Supreme which is a contoured fit and have also worn the Vapor series that is a tapered fit.
  4. If I may weigh in on the helmet issue, I think it would be good to get a certification on a helmet to show that they are up to par with the testing. Once they show they can do that, they will have my trust that they use the right types of plastics, foams, and engineering to meet the specifications. The other side of the coin is that a lot of guys use helmets WELL over their certified dates. Mine expires this year. As long as the construction is sound, there shouldnt be a huge issue. As for the products we would like to see, +1 for the premium wheels in different softness levels. Also, I'd like to see the low end of the Tron stick line settled out. I have a Legacy and love it (outside of the curve inconsistency). It seems that its in a state of flux. The legacy is on clearout due to the factory error and the Evolution and Basic lines dont have great choices available. To be honest, the biggest thing I want from Tron is more pictures, videos, and review capabilites on the site. You get 1-2 pictures for the products. Take a page from IW hockey and get into the YouTube game. Its easy and cheap to produce medium to high quality videos highlighting the products and the general fit.
  5. I'd have to agree unfortunately. I would love the convenience of having a good store for things locally, but the online market is really good and seems to be really price conscious. What about becoming a rep? That seems like you would be able to fit both needs: being able to sell hockey gear and not have to put yourself out their financially. Check that market out there. I wouldn't be surprised to see the smaller or struggling retailers out their that would love to have a local rep (think Tron, Sher-wood, etc). Another thing that I have done, not with hockey, is become a retailer on Craigslist. Be the guy that has stuff locally for emergencies (tape, blades, screws and hardware, bearing maintenance). Maybe that would feed your desire. Good luck and let me know. I'd be interested in knowing how to become a rep....
  6. I just wanted to say that I have nothing but positive experiences with Tron. Wheels, socks, and jerseys are dirt cheap (they even do amazing flash sales on genuine NHL jerseys!!!!). I've personally dealt with Ben and a few others and they have been courteous and more that accomodating. No wait on the phones and they answer email the same day. Unheard of in this industry. Wheels are good. Ive only tried the outdoor. Got them for 15. Socks are freaking nice. Only 6.99 after coupon. Jerseys are the absolute cheapest you can get anywhere. Plus theyre fast when it comes to teams. Just got a LE stick for 35 as well. Thing is really light and will probably make its way to the top of my rotation after I get a feel for it. Kudos, hockeytron!!!!
  7. Where abouts in Nor-Cal? Us here in the Valley have to go to the bay to get any decent selection.
