  1. Go retail. Will probably have net to shoot at so you can test curves/sticks
  2. Not a blade request exactly, but; what can you tell us about base’s new stick the LT? I understand the low torque aspect but what about kickpoint? Feel? Any news about that would be great. thanks
  3. Bc14 and bc27 user, both in nasty r ops. Would buy barkov if lie is indeed 5. Bc14 sticks up just a bit too much for me while skating.
  4. I was under the impression that the crosby pro was flat in lie (4 in bauer nomenclature) straight from heel with minimal loft till the toe in which there's a slight kink.
  5. any chance of getting a crosby prostock made up? I like the idea of a lower lie stick with no loft and a bit of toe. For reference I currently have the bc14 and bc27 in a nasty r. The bc14 is my fav curve at the moment but i find the lie to be a little high for my skating position. Of course if you offered the bc14 in a 4.5lie i would probably buy as many as i could carry
  6. Finally have the skate dialed, ended up with HIGH arch insole from ccm. It is very rigid and fills the negative space. Very impressed to say the least, edges are under more control and acceleration is instantaneous. If they fit depth wise you wont regret the purchase
  7. Have not re baked speedplates for fitting into tacks, I am possibly selling my 1x's so the speedplates will go with them, but i suppose that is the fix i need as they fill the negative space and take up very little elsewhere
  8. Well i've worn the super tacks now for about 5 games now. The skate itself is fantastic, very responsive and light. My only problem has been on the instep of my right foot, are there any insoles on the market that are as thin as the stock insole that supports a higher arch? I've tried my speed plates from my 1x's and that felt incredibly weird as well as my custom orthotics (for shoes, felt like wearing high heels) . Any help would be appreciated
  9. Had my first skate last night with new super tacks. Wow. I was probably mis-fit into 1X 8D as it was, as my forefoot/big toe were taking a beating on the stitching of bauer's toecap. Its funny how some things can feel so good while in the store and after a few months begin to cause you physical pain. Huge difference in terms of forefoot space and toecap - toe interaction with an 8d super tacks. With the super tacks, while i have an instep issue using the stock insole, were otherworldly in terms of footspeed and power transfer. Going to put my speedplates into my supertacks and give that a whirl. But as of now, pretty happy I snagged a demo pair for 300$ off retail.
  10. My speedplates have cracked in my 1x's, still the best insole i've ever used. Now to get a pair for my super tacks because bauer's insole technology is light years ahead of ccm's regardless of boot construction.
