Emergency Stuff To Keep In Your Hockey Bag

Recommended Posts

Just wondering what you carry in your hockey bag in case of emergency. I am fairly new to hockey and keep the following item in mine:

- Extra Skate Laces

- Small Flat Sharpening Stone

- Extra Helmet Snaps w/extra Screws

- Phillips and Regular Screw Drivers

- Bottle Opener

I keep this stuff in a zip lock bag but would like ideas on a better way.

Thanks

Same as you guys mentioned, but for roller hockey I keep some liquid wrench in my bag. Good for if you don't dry off the skates and the axles get siezed.

I freely admit to being a bit of a gadget master, but with some military background I can't help but pack stuff along 'just in case' on any given night of roller hockey:

-Spare wheels w/ bearings and axles in place (1 x 72 and 1 x 80)

-Allen key and tool for bearing and axle removal

-A few regular bandaids and a couple of butterfly bandaids for closing up stuff that needs stitches

-Black tape

-Sock tape

- 2 cans of beer

If it can't be fixed with what I've on hand, I probably need to go home or to emergency anyways.

Whenever I go to a tournament, Ill pack up the VAN with a spare set of equiptment. (helmet, gloves, shin gaurds, old skates) Just cause Ive had experiences where Ive had to use loaners for a tournament.

In my bag I keep just about all the same stuff you all said.

i bring a few rolls of tape... never thought of bring anything else.

same here.

i have 2 helmets, so if 1 loses a strap, the other can just donate. besides that, i dont have a need for extra laces or anything. i guess if something goes wrong im screwed....

Lotta the stuff was covered...I'd add an extra pant belt. Kinda sucks especially if you break the buckle and don't wear suspenders.

A flat head and a phillips head, knife, bottle opener, small wrench, white jersey, black jersey.

whats the knife for?

i have heard of people packing scissors in their bags, but not knives.

and also, what do u use the wrench on?

It's a pen knife, never know when you need to cut something.

Wrench is for the screws on my skates, quicker changing the steel with a flat head/wrench.

Work with what youve got, Laces would work.
