a clean towel, preferably in a zip lock that you only break open in case of emergency..

leaving a towel in the bag, could gather a lot of bacteria.. you dont want to make a cut worse..

also emergency contact info is probably a good idea..

This would be useful. A guy busted his skate blade tonight (perforated blades on a pair of xxx's). Happened in the first 3 minutes - he had to skip the entire season opener game.

I have a thing we call the "goodie bag"...an Easton baseball glove/helmet bag(works perfectly)

I keep damn near everything in there, but if you can get a helmet bag or something like it, they work great for keeping all this crap in.

Laces

Steel

Steel tightening tools(for various skates) w/ replacement screws, etc.

Stone

Shower stuff

skate towel/regular towel

Tape

lots of helmet screws/pieces

Endplug

Swiss Army knife(takes care of a lot of the needed stuff)

Lighter

Bandaids

Some cash/change

Mouthguard

Stickhandling ball

Puck(s)

IcyHot

Spare stuff for the bag: A skate lace, a spare skate blade (an old worn out one is fine). Everything else you can pretty much scrounge. I actually went to the trouble of packing a used blade, a pair of pliers, and a socket wrench in my kids bag, and he was able to fix a broken blade on a 2 game road trip and not ride the pine. It is real hit or miss getting your skates fixed on the road!

For the car: Some spray on antibacterial stuff, an ace banadage, and some butterfly bandages. A couple of those instant icepacks will also come in handy. If you sprain an ankle, immediately put on the ace banadage to keep swelling down. If you get a big gash, clean it out and put a few butterfly banadages on it, or you will end up looking like frankenstein. Some sort of combination tool (pliers, screwdriver, etc) can be helpful.

Reading some of these is making me aware of how UN-prepared I am for unforeseen circumstances.

Basically, I've got a towel, shampoo, some tape and (I think) an extra lace.

Beyond that....anything major happnes to my gear between house and rink...I'm not playing that night.

I used to have an ER doctor on our team, and he kept a stitch kit in his bag. He used it on one of our players, too.

Searched and found nothing (I was quite surprised)...And of course if anyone finds and could link me, I'd greatly appreciate it.

But just wanted people to take inventory of the items in their bag that they have for emergency equipment issues (obviously not tape and water bottles).

After my cage came loose during a pickup I have thrown in a screwdriver, and bought an extra pair of snaps in case one of my three give out on me.

Honing stone

Back-up blade (crazy I know)

I was just curious if there was anything someone brings just in case that I'm forgetting but may need in a pinch someday soon.
