It's not about like or dislike. It's more about pros and cons. Superfeet tend to get promoted as this universally great thing, but there is no free lunch. The are pros and cons that have to be weighed against each other for each individual. Superfeet get sold to people like myself who really don't need them, so without needing the pros, I'm left with only receiving the cons. Superfeet are great for those who's feet need them, but for those that don't, for the most part, they're better of not using them at all. It's like wearing a knee brace when there's nothing wrong with your knee.

Where I am, we get three days, and they're not paid... basically three that can be missed, due to sickness, without getting let go.

Agree with this 100%. I'm more of an agility guy on skates so I like being able to cut sharply on the ice. I had a perfect 100/50 FBV cut every time at a local pro shop and gave it up for convenience of Sparx. I played around with 3/8, 1/2, and 5/8 FIRE since my kids were still in the experimenting phase so I bought those to try. 3/8 gave me super fatigue (I had to try it) so I went to 1/2 FIRE thinking that was the 100/50 equivalent but it still was too much fatigue in the legs. I had little confidence in the 5/8 FIRE thinking I'd be sliding all over the place since I'm only 160lbs, but after trying it, I'm in love. Absolutely no sliding during tight turns. I got my kid on it (from 3/8) and have noticed a significant difference in getting to pucks (no look of fatigue and great bite in the change of directions). If kids can go from one extreme to another, it means it's just all about adaptation. For a guy coming from a shallow 90/50, they may also want to experiment with the 3/4 FIRE to start.

I don't care how tall they are. How do they tie their skates???

I have a game this Tuesday. Looking forward to it... after a 3 week break since our last game. Scheduling in our league isn't perfect and ice time is sort of jammed up with only two rinks in the area. But, we have about a game a week from here on out which is good.

We have a work from home arrangement, nice to not have to use PTO when you are sick. Plus it does keep things from spreading. Of course with my wife working in a school and two kids in school that is cancelled out by all the plagues they bring home...

Howdy, Fun day today. My son, now 12, gave up hockey a couple years ago after giving it a year or two and it never really clicking. His gear has been hanging around the house since. Today we went over to visit a long time friend of my wife, whose 8 (?? I think) year old daughter has just discovered the game and is falling in love. She's been going to learn/practices twice a week in rental/borrowed gear and LOVES it. We took along my son's old stuff and between that, a trip to Play it Again, and a stop at Perani's her daughter is all setup. Super cool to see how excited she was as well as how involved she was in getting gear that she liked. If she keeps having even 1/4 as much fun and enthusiasm for the game as she showed today, she's a lifer. Mark
