  1. Pens acquire Jordan Leopold from Panthers in exchange for a second round pick 2010.
  2. I believe so..they had silver/gold grip... then silver/yellow grip/orange si-core.. then the si core grip was a dark red.
  3. The original Synergy grip was gold I believe. I think that a second generation grip.
  4. I am 99% sure I'll be back in June, beginning of June. Now as long as you, Ty, Justin, and Mav take me back under your wing and invite me to come play, and pray that the pond you guys were using freezes up again next winter! :) I'll also need to buy some new equipment (wahoooo!), not to mention a new vehicle. You guys can use me as a pylon :) My brother hasn't had school all week and I heard Cal U canceled all classes for the week back on Monday (!).
  5. I know and I cant imagine it! All of Pittsburgh area schools and universities are closed! People didn't have power for many hours... crazy.
  6. I think Habs best situation is for someone to throw an offer sheet at one of Price/Halak, take the draft pics from one and sign the other. I really think you need to keep one of those guys, Halak IMO with the amount of shots against. Now that Gainey is out maybe Price isn't so coveted..
  7. I don't think one hour is that long after the game to change a stat
  8. I too wish I was up in that snow. Pittsburgh got crushed and I won't see much of anything all year, saw some snow in Atlanta a few weeks ago. A dusting actually :'(

  10. David and his road roommate Cam Janssen were interviewed for the new issue of Hockey News.. I gotta say the prank is pretty funny but kinda weird Cool article to see what kinda jokes and such roommates pull on eachother. Maybe we can get some stories from some other guys :)

  12. David has found a very cool way to be charitable to a great cause.. His story is getting some attention on Yahoo! sports and Puck Daddy and some other places and he's showing that athletes on twitter/facebook etc. can do some positive things with it. He obviously doesnt respond to every post or comment on his pages but it does give a neat little look into some behind the scenes stuff depending on what type of information he divulges. Props on using technology available to him a cool way and for being so accessible to fans in that regard. Even better to find a way to raise some money for a cause.
  13. I hate my job. My boss can't even conjure up the names of the people that work for him and there is only 16 employees at the hotel. Cant remember to get change for the cash drawer or the safe when he goes to the bank. Takes 3 days off work because he got some teeth pulled and the doctors note says he can even though when he stopped by he's talking up a storm and asking if anything is goin on for the hockey game. Created a lot more work for me to do that I don't get paid to take responsibility for. And this retard makes 15 k a year more than I do.
  14. Fedotenko is the new mustache boy
  15. For having a healing broken finger and wearing a splint under his glove, MAF is playing terrific I think.
  16. Guerin must be okay. Wonder what they're gonna do about Goddard... cut him? haha :)
  17. Fleury looked great last night. The second goal was a bit of a stinker that snuck in there but he made plenty of strong saves. I doubt Connor gets more than a cup of coffee with the Pens this year but who knows with injuries. Anybody have articles on gogo and or billy G injury status? Glove save what a beauty!
  18. Okay, thats freakin hilarious. Congrats Mack ;)
  19. I love this article. http://www.pittsburghlive.com/x/pittsburgh...s/s_663811.html Glad to see a big win posted over Philly, hope it gives some momentum and can continue and get another win over the Rangers tonight. Really hoping to see MAF in the cage.
  20. Fleury should get the start today as John Curry was sent down to Wilkes Barre (WOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOO BUH BYE!) Big fun game today I hope :) Maybe they'll heed the words of wisdom put forth here and go simple on the PP. I saw an article that Malkin was saying that he really liked playing with Nick Johnson because Johnson is right handed..exactly what some of ya'll were talkin about.
  21. They've tried some different stuff with Malkin on the half wall or the point, sid and malkin on the ice at the same time etc. I dunno. I think Kunitz injury really hampers them because he would be the guy infront and he's got good hands in tight.. Letang has to find his scoring touch and get more pucks on goal. Jordan Staal set up in front I think would be good. I think it may have gotten to much to the point where they look for the perfect play. I want to see them with one or two quick passes low to half wall, to point for a shot with traffic infront. If theyre pressuring the point, have Sid throwing passes through the slot down low with people crashing. I don't like the play they try with the player up in the high slot area. It seems like they very rarely get the puck to the player, and if they do it seems like most of the shots are junk. I dunno, its hard to sit here and say whats wrong with all those skilled players but sometimes I feel like they should just pound it at the net with Gonchar, Malkin, Letang, then let Crosby, Kunitz, Guerin, Staal sweep up trash.. I know if the PP was better than what it is we'd probably be looking plenty better points wise.
  22. Fleury optomistic to play Sunday Pens raise $34,000 for Haiti http://www.pittsburghlive.com/x/pittsburgh...=rss&feed=8 I thought they were saying last night that Fleury tried his new glove in the morning skate and had alot of pain, and that they needed to do work on the glove, hence him not playing last night. Sid and Geno lookd pretty good last night, both doin some 1 on 3's and coming out succesful, hope that continues for them :) Dupuis, Talbot, Kuniz, Fleury, does this count as injury bug round 2 for the Pens? :( side note, Ryan Malone is killing it down in Tampa...now I'm wishing we coulda fit him in somehow. :(
  23. The game was great last night. Theodores brainfart gave the Pens some momentum that was lacking early and the game was great through two periods. It was very exciting and I really enjoyed it when the physical play picked up there alittle bit especially around the Orpik hit on Ovechkin and then Knubile on Orpik that ratched up the play a bit. The officiating I thought was okay, my main thing is if you let them battle in the first, let them battle in the third. That call on Guerin for interference I thought (of course with my bias) wasn't something that should have been called considering everything they let go throughout the game. All in all a bad 5 minute sequence killed the Pens last night, but a post and a bar and we may have had a real highscoring game on our hands. I'm really excited for the game on Sunday, which I believe is in DC right? Also it seemed like Ovi/Malkin and Ovi/Crosby as far as the battling and jaw jacking never really got off the ground much last night. I kinda missed that :) Oh last thouht, Semins' dish pass to Fleischmann... :o :o
  24. Plus I'd venture Sid and Geno get beat up a little worse than most. Resting star players is nothing new. Colts in the NFL this year? Bylsma regularly gives guys 'maintenance days' throughout the season as he calls them, typically not making them practice every now and then. In my opinion its smart to do now, and smart to do later even sitting certain games if your in a good position in the standings.
