  4. found this on craigslist. could not pass it up. he has at least one more. brand new still has the upc sticker. it is a synthesis blade http://s349.photobuc...t=shanny028.jpg
  5. was driving in the sub last night (garbage night) and someone threw out a an aluminum t-flex, and an old easton pro lami blade. the t-flex is in great shape with no dents or bends in it. the blade is a juneau patter rh standard. i had never seen that pattern before. will post pics sometime today.
  6. they are wides. i can't fit my hand in to the narrows. they fit similar to my x-51s and 5000s. and are wider than my x-88s. he had a pair of jason williams form when he was with the trashers and i could not get my hand into those ones. way to tight
  7. there is a hole that was repaired in the right palm. the guy i got them from is the eqm from the u17 ntdp team. he used to be the aeqm with the grand rapids griffins (red wings). said they were left at the prospects camp a few years ago in traverse city.
  8. just picked these up today. warrior franchise montreal pro stock. full plastic, mess gussets, nash palms, va-80 pro pack. full tufftek. paid $50 for them off craig's list.
  9. form the innovative days is polar fiber an option? what about the neuindyke pattern
  10. got the idea when i bought a pair of 7ks (2010) that were too tight in the legs for me. tried the thigh pad from my 420s and that didn't help. so i took them back and was finally able to find a pair of 852s that have worked great. i just wish that someone would make pants with the old boxy fit for retail (is 420, 520)
  11. you could always switch out the thigh pads with the 520s
  12. not new but used. i got a friend who plays goalie and he's been wanting a cooper sk2000 and fm30 set up(chris osgood). played floor hockey last nite and they had one sitting there. asked the guy in charge if i could trade him and he said yes. had to replace screws and reglue some padding but overall its in great shape for being so old. will try to post pics later today
  13. krev, you could also get a catcher's chest protector. it may be alot cheaper esp if you could make due with a kids sized one.
  14. what about getting a used c/a from play it again. remove the extra paddind on the front and arms and then cut the base pad to fit your back. damn i had a vaugnh chest pad without any thing on it and threw it away thinking i woud never use it.
  15. I have done a ton of them and have had a few problems. nothing major though. i use a torch, pliers and a small hacksaw. as chadd stated most ops are fused. the trick is to find where the fuse point is, go up about 4" and cut it. then using the torch heat up the graphite until glows. then taking your time peel the layers off. i can do a blade in about 5-10 minutes. some will come out if you heat up the shaft. i have used and sold blades that i have done this with and had on problems. 8.0.8 cna't be done. i have done it to 9k0 though.
  16. put masking tape on the visor first and draw the cut line on the masking tape. helps reduce the heat from the dremel, and burning on the visor
  17. i did one a while back. had a hard time getting the tenon out but i did. ended up selling it b/c i could not stand the stick. you'll have to pick one side and get the part of the tenon out once you've done that you should have no problem gettin the rest out.
  18. Want to give us the details on that one? took 2 pair of juniors to make one that fits me. they are of the old cooper style. i did this before the companys decided to bring them back.
  19. update skates: vapor xxv helmet: 8500 vn w/ccm 480 cage gloves: eagle x-88/ bauer 5000 pro return shafts: warroir dolomite blades: winwell/ inno pants: ccm420 elbows: jofa shins: 5000 shoulder pads: home made
  20. the x-72 were narrower, to me, (the pair i had been wearing are bauer 5000s) with a shorter cuff. fingers seamed to be the same length though. these were made in canada. these are also pre vaughn buying eagle. the palm is nash with msh2 overly. the gussets are also msh2. you'll love them. they are a web only sale but the regional mgr hooked me up and let me buy them in the store. the quality is awsome. couldn't find a missed stich anywere.
  21. my new gloves just got them today. awsome feel and quality http://s349.photobucket.com/albums/q376/jrhky36/
  22. try hockeyone.com the cat say they have all the pro colors and specs but they want $159.99 per pair.
  23. I'm sure you could do exactly what you're talking about. It's not like that part shows, just make sure its sewn well enough that it won't tear. I will warn you though, i pretty much wrecked my fingers trying to sew through the chest guard and elbow pads. I figured it might be a bit hard. I think I will give it a shot and see how it works out. get a sewing awl you can also use needle nose pliers. i did that on the leg pads i got. spent 20 hours on one set the other set 24 hours sewing them back up. they were sliced heavily to prevent someone from using them (were in a dumpster)
  24. whats the orange stuff under the VN. also, im assuming the occipital lock isnt used on the vn style? it memory foam. it helps cover the joint of the 2 pieces of the shell. there is no occipital lock or side adjustment like the retail verision.
