  1. Stopped by my local sport chek today to buy the e400 helmet on clearance and saw the cx shoulder pads. I didn't even know they were coming out with new shoulders! Ended up leaving the store with a pair. Very light weight. To me they're the rbz pad with more coverage. Wonder why I can't find them online anywhere.
  2. I wish I had the access you did JR (no sarcasm meant).I actually had the opportunity to speak with Mr. Hellyar at Warrior while I was placing a large team order of custom covert dt2 gloves (went with this model because we did not like the mesh on the dt1) and were having trouble getting the right palm on the glove. I am excited to see how the made in Asia custom gloves compare to my previous made in Canada models. He explained all the changes to the program to me during the process. Warrior was very accommodating and after a few snags in the process took care of us. Great customer service! Can't really fault them for changing the program, especially if they are losing a lot of money over it. Souldriver, I was told that the kovy and savard cuff is not ordered that often. The hossa cuff (likely to be renamed) will be the only cuff option that will remain.
  3. If you like custom franchises you should get them now. They will be removed from the customizer in 1-2 months. Warrior is moving all custom gloves overseas. They will be made by a factory that also makes Mizuno and Rawlings gloves. Customs will be available for the ax1/ax2 and covert dt1/dt2. They will also be shipped at set dates, so you could end up waiting a few months for your gloves even if they're already made. Also if it's not on the customizer you're not likely to get it anymore. In the past you could request different cuffs, mods, etc in the comment box and you might haven gotten it. This will no longer be the case. Warrior is/was losing money on customs.
  4. I'm not sure now if they are or aren't pro stock. I wasn't aware at the time that the RS gloves came in purple as a retail color way. Fail for me!
  5. Just stole these mitts off eBay, once used pro stock LA Kings RS gloves. Marked 18AAA. $90 buy it now :)
  6. Just got these brand new nucks jofa 7000s
  7. ummmmmmmm yeh I don't really know what to say about this.......to each their own I suppose... San Jose Sharks defenseman Brent Burns(notes) probably isn't the only NHL player with a tattoo of a dragon somewhere on his body. But he might be the only one that has a tattoo of a boy wizard battling it. Burns tweeted this tat on his left thigh earlier in the week, saying he's always loved books and that "Hogwarts looks fun"; he later told the Mercury News that he's a big Harry Potter fan, which is why this piece is among his many tattoos.
  8. hmm im heating it with a stove i dont have a heat gun
  9. well I broke another dolomite last week, the 2008 model (model before the HD) I ordered a pro stock warrior blade off Hockey monkey, grabbed it today and went at taking what was left of the blade out of my broken dolo. problem was i blasted the entire blade off on a slap shot so there was really only the part before the blade left. I cut where the faint line/fuse point was and then heated and tried to pull the blade out.......no go Eventually i just sawed the whole blade off at the fuse hoping i could chisle the tenon out. To my surprise, what was left of the tenon of the blade (which I could see outlined) looked like it wasnt glued in but almost fused like a true one piece! I thought oh shit I must have cut in the wrong place, but I stuck a ruler in to measure where the tenon ended and it matched the same length as the tenon on my replacement blade. I've been chisling away for an hour to no avail. Has anyone encountered this and found a solution?
  10. I hate Dave Nonis for drafting the dud Patrick "I scored 5 points in NCAA hockey" White over Perron........... I HATE YOU DAVE NONIS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can't wait to see what the blues do next year with a healthy back end. Awesome season Mr. Perron! Just curious, what did Burrows say to you at the end of the game?
  11. Well I broke my Dolomite one piece a few months ago and I always wanted to put in a tapered blade but had never done anything like this before. I read up about it on MSH as there are about 2-3 threads with explanations on it but I couldn't find any with pictures so I gave up. Today I went into my LHS to get my skates sharpened and I saw a vapor xxxx tapered blade on sale for $19 so I figured what the hell why not. Here are pictures of my experiment. This is the shaft with the blade cut out http://members.shaw.ca/geraldkng/dolomite/...090217-1519.jpg I had originally cut the stick at what I thought was the fuse point, but when i got the blade off the hole for the blade was way too small. I thought I screwed up so I decided to arbitrarily cut the stick at the end of one of the graphics, shown here: http://members.shaw.ca/geraldkng/dolomite/...090217-1519.jpg To my surprise when after make two cuts from opposite sides, i was able to pull the smaller section of the shaft out and look what happened: http://members.shaw.ca/geraldkng/dolomite/...090217-1520.jpg Here is a picture showing how the piece above used to be part of the shaft, note that the foam popped out with the smaller section: http://members.shaw.ca/geraldkng/dolomite/...090217-1520.jpg Here is a picture of the shaft after removing both the blade and the smaller section with the foam: http://members.shaw.ca/geraldkng/dolomite/...090217-1519.jpg and last but not least here are pictures with my new two piece dolo with vapor xxxx tapered blade: http://members.shaw.ca/geraldkng/dolomite/...090217-1527.jpg http://members.shaw.ca/geraldkng/dolomite/...090217-1528.jpg http://members.shaw.ca/geraldkng/dolomite/...090217-1528.jpg This was probably not the best job and I am a noob at this stuff but the blade fits very very snuggly, (had to apply some decent elbow grease to get the blade in) and all I used was a heat gun to put the new blade in and a hand saw to remove the original blade. Hope this helps!
  12. i live in coquitlam so I frequently go to the coquitlam store
  13. yeh I did try the creeper on before I ordered, but I ordered online through the warrior site :S Cyclone's does carry warrior gloves but I didn't see them listed as a store I could deal with for customization when I was on the Warrior site, maybe I missed it.
  14. yah, microvent digital looks like you gotta do it through your local dealer. dang it I didn't know I could do more customization in store, I only used the online creator. I actually had them shipped to your store jbyun04 (hockeyshop). I really don't like the palms on them and after one gaming the palms are already piling. Does hockeyshop do repalming? I almost want to just take the palm off and put a msh or digi on it
