  1. I've personally directed people that aren't members here to this thread, and I will continue to do so when their name comes up. I've also discussed it with hockey players in person in the locker room...they were surprised, as they'd bought stuff there before without issue. This garbage doesn't fly with me.
  2. Just met bob tuesday, had a combo radius, and my 1st FBV done. When he handed me the blades the sharpen was very straight and very smooth (except for the edge of course). Very ez to deal with, and very helpful in helping make a decision. Tried out the new runners yesterday (100/50- usually a 1/2"roh), and they really performed. Smoother glide, and sharper turns. Not sure what portion of the work did what, but I'm very happy with the results....and that was on a sheet that was in fairly rough/ bumpy shape. I wouldn't hesitate giving his work 2 thumbs up.
  3. Noone knows, noone other than him has responded since. Pathetic really.
  4. Yep, and when I went back to earlier stuff in this thread, I saw that Hockeycrazy was kicking even back then, but I don't remember anything really nutty like this new stuff. If Ben is still around, he must be embarrassed.
  5. Thanks for the info jimmy, much appreciated.
  6. Can't say I've ever seen this type of thing, it's so bad, that it's almost like someone that has an issue with management at Tron is doing this on purpose to cause them grief.....an unhappy employee maybe?
  7. Is Step better than the Easton Elite runners? I was on Noicing's website yesterday, and it seems that the Step is actually cheaper than the Elite runners. I'm considering getting a spare set of runners, so I can always have a sharp pair, but am a bit concerned there will be a big difference between the 2. My skates are brand new Easton RS's, with only 1 sharpen on them so far(Pure Hockey/Braintree Ma.- when I bought them), I have no idea if that store/guy that sharpened them is any good or not, or what the profile is, and I'd rather just send my spare set up to jimmys shop so I know they are done correctly, and will be consistent. I also never had a radius done before, and I see I have to get one to buy steel there....problem is I took 34 years off from skating, and just started skating again 1.5 months ago....I haven't played any hockey yet, so I'm not even sure how to accurately fill out the questionnaire that they sent me....yep, feeling like a noob!
