yea a bit to much of the "free jazz in front of a festival audience" feel for me.. though I must admit there are pieces that are just awesome.. more rock mc5 and less endless noodling I'm from the mean streets of bedford.. just west of the airport

my band opened for moe tucker's band "magnet" for a show in houston.. I'm sure a lot of people here know velvet underground without even knowing it.. if that makes sense.

sigur ros played a show here this winter at the bass hall but I missed it.. by far the coolest act to play at that venue.. which is also awesome.. at the expense of staying on topic Battles

I don't even know what those are. The reason I said to stay away from the olympic is because I had a friend who had one "granted this was years ago" and the shells where made out of what looked like particle board or something like that and they sounded like garbage not matter what I did to them. I know you can get like a tama rockstar "think they still make those" or pearl export made out of layered mahogany and if you just chuck some pinstripes on them and they'll sound pretty good. Also if you can get a kit with mounted toms do it because that really makes the difference.

if you can find something else besides the Premier Olympic I would also say do it.
