  1. I've used about equally ice boots converted...and inline only boots. Lately I've just been using roller made skates though. With most companies you get just as good quality, as before you'd pretty much have to frankenstein a skate to get quality close to what you'd get in a top ice boot. All that being said, after my he950s go, probably after the summer, I'm looking at a few options with ice boots.
  2. Mission made the Icon, Wicked Light, and Injection series for inline. Though they could be used for both, that's where they were more directed. Meanwhile they had the warp and 714 gloves more geared towards ice.
  3. Mission did it 'cause I think they wanted to move away from two lines of gloves for ice and inline. Though, that only lasted two years. Although the Heliums supposedly can be used for both, I've only seen them in inline. Then there's the L series which is more the ice series.
  4. I'd rather be smaller then grow and not the way I am. I was 5'9 when I was 12, then in the next 9 years I've grown a total of 3-4"
  5. Yeah, I see them becoming a big problem, mainly because too many people use sticking their leg out as a reaction to getting beat.
  6. hit from behind...concussion, broken nose, sprained neck, ugly friction burn on my face, and it was my birthday(plus the day I joined the site).
  7. I love iceline as both an ice and inline rink. Even though my worst hockey injury happened there.
  8. picture of random newish stuff latest picture of me playing, I think I'm using one of the innovatives there, all you can really see is the skates.
  9. I can't find any leagues around here, maybe I need to get an office job and be a ringer on their softball team.
  10. What was it, LV material on the backhand rolls then regular leather on the cuff roll and thumb?
  11. I'm guessing these won't be in the catalog since it's already out. Darn, I've love to see a picture.
  12. Are you serious? I hate easton gloves because of the wrist wrap, but my love of gaudy things is making me all tingly in my stomach.
  13. I was planning on getting new jofa elbows/shins anyway, I'm happy to see it's the same stuff, I could care less what name's on it. And, I had my heart set on a RBK helmet (helmets are pretty much my main addiction) but not at 150
  14. I've never skates on the eblade, but I was one of the few fans of the PL3, I'm guessing it's gone for good.
  15. OMG WHEN DO THEY COME OUT? But, I have to say, happy to see the velcro cuff back. Can you get just the velcro cuff on a custom pair of air-lookin' gloves? or do you need the whole smart cuff?
  16. Two things, what are the specifics on the custom glove ordering, did you get any info on that? Two, EVEN THEIR JOCK IS SYNERGY.
  17. wow, it's weird seeing non-traditional looking eagles (other than the sentry)
  18. I forget who it is, but someone on the board has yellow and black HGTs + JR with his MSH he750s. Both of you guys need that stick.
  19. Man do I want one of the stick'ums....and the endure sounds like a really good idea.
  20. I'm one of those people that can't have enough pairs of gloves, my HGTs from marcelo became my fourth pair I rotate, they finally forced my bilt rite works into retirement from games..
  21. what I got off of marcelo last week, finally get to use them tomorrow night.

    Eagle X70

Product - Eagle X70 Background - 6' 165lb Roller Hockey Defenseman Length of use - 2 years Fit - A loose glove, was quite a change from the Quest 1 gloves I had previously. Took a little big of getting used to but it grew on me, especially liked the mobility in the wrist without sacrificing protection. 8.5/10 Protection - They get the job done, taken many a shot/slash to them. 9.5/10 Weight - Although I don't get all hung up on equipment weight, these gloves have no real "bulk" to them. 10/10 Durability - After two years of heavy use I'm finally seeing signs of breakdown, and it's in the fingers, not even the palms. Though I can attribute this to the 14"s maybe being a bit long for me, so my fingers rub in a weird spot. 10/10 Intangibles - Between the simple looks, and numerous colors available, it made this glove an easy choice. Conclusion - Although I didn't pay retail value for these gloves, I would say they're worth the 135usd or so you'd pay for them nowadays. 10/10
