  1. Have you baked the Speedplate? Heating it will reset it and you can mold it to his foot (there's no maximum amount of bakes like a skate).180-200 degrees (I'd do 200) and monitor until the stripes turn white, place back in the skate and stand in them for a minute. Any aftermarket insole (curex, ccm, superfeet) will be better than the stock insole when skating, the flimsy stock insoles all feel great in store. I've not found anyplace that sells the stock Bauer insoles.
  2. They will put MSH2 palms on other gloves. I asked a couple weeks ago.
  3. Nice gloves, I was going to bid on those, but I already have a pair in NJ Devils colors. I envision a pair of x72 in the near future.
  4. WOW, that looks great. I'm definitely going to have to get my old Branches gloves re-palmed by them. I'll post the results when they're completed.
  5. Your blade measurements from the Step website are incorrect. The 6.8 & 7.4 mm measurements are not blade diameter, they are the screw size that holds the blade in place. Blade diameter is not listed, but one would expect it to be comparable to the OEM steel of your brand of choice.
  6. Insurance money...he's not buying it back from whomever stole it to begin with. It's all new.
  7. marker would probably turn purple, i think there was a topic or two about blacking out/painting gloves, try searching. I'm not sure what the striping material is made out of, but dyeing gloves seems to be a better solution than coloring/painting. I know there is leather and vinyl dyes available for purchase. Try a shoe shop or a furniture repair store. The dyes are fairly simple to use if you follow the directions.
  8. Nice gear, but what's the "bubble" doing just sitting there? I still think it's the nicest looking cage out there.
  9. Beat me right down :P I have a larger palm and shorter fingers...I don't like the fit of most 14-inchers. I'm working on bending that finger inwards, I like them straight.
  10. I was going to mention earlier that it looked like the sole on your boots was also from the Ultra series...the above pic confirms that. It looks like you have an Ultra G35 skate with the G35 boot. Compare your sole to this pic of mine.
  11. They're a totally different skate than the Bauers. I just moved from an old pair of 5000's to G5's. The low cut felt strange at first, but after 15 minutes they felt great. Those certainly are custom...the Ultra G35 tongues with the Tuuk holders. Nice skates and enjoy them.
  12. A picture of the palm of an NBH 4-Roll for those who wanted to see it. Feels much more durable than the R8's but at the same time is still soft and supple. This is after about 6 hours on the ice, a bit dirty from my knob.
  13. Some of the new equipment. Graf Supra G5 7.5R NBH Pro 4-Roll 13" TPS R8 Lite Frolov Pro-stock
  14. A lot or a little depending on how you look at it. He took the E-Pro holder's off of his 10.0 SE's.
  15. There ya go...fixed it for you.
