  1. I used the QX last night for the first time. Coincidentally, it was also my first time on the rink in about four months after rehabbing a knee injury. Man....it may have only been open hockey, but the QX was everything I loved about the QRL and then injected with steroids. I felt that same pop I got with the QRL blade, which in my own opinion, feels and sounds like how it does on TV (you know how it sounds a bit....different? Livelier?). But the new kickpoint on the QX is perfect. Played with the perfect amount of whip behind it. I'm torn between whether I like mid-kick or low-kick sticks more, having rotated between the Super Tacks, HD1, A6.0, XC9, QRL, 1X and RX2 all intermittently. But the QX may be the winner. Granted it was only my first time using it. But now I'm seeing there's a 65 flex senior option, I'm all giddy inside. May have found my go-to stick for the next few years.
  2. Have to agree with you here, but only on certain aspects. I think in terms of the pants and shoulders, and the elbows outside of the QLT, they've underperformed. But at least in my area, we're still selling a ton of the shins and gloves. But I will say what hasn't been sold with the pants and shoulders, have been replaced with the Tacks line. Bauer still hasn't taken a percentage back in my area with protective. People seem to gravitate towards the CCM protective now.
  3. Usually, if you need to ask if a site is legit, that's a good enough sign to stay away.
  4. Yeah I didn't want to actually drill into the boot itself, so found a way just to oval out the injected eyelet and the standard eyelet fit perfectly.
  5. Just took a couple quick ones. But they're at a focal point in the lacing system and have held up very well.
  6. That's what I did with my 1X's. Drilled it out to the point I was able to install a standard eyelet and epoxy/super glue the top. Has worked like a charm for over a year now without having to go back and re-do any work to the eyelet.
  7. A year?! Damn man. I unfortunately know how it goes all too well, with my sister doing chemo at 16 and my mother last year. Wishing the best for you guys, If you need anything, I'm just a phone call away!
  8. I'd be willing to put money on that being the truth. Doesn't even come close in my neck of the woods, which is a huge roller hockey hotbed.
  9. This is the second set of T'Blades I've seen in the last week and I can't believe there's people who still use them outside of Dennis Seidenberg haha.
  10. Working at a big-box store has its pros...and cons haha
  11. Mom: "You should get rid of some of your hockey equipment." Me: "Come on, I don't have THAT much!" FWIW: What picture shows: Bauer Supreme 70 shins, Bauer Vapor APX2 shins. Bauer 4500 helmet. CCM V08 Helmet. CCM 4-Roll Pro Stock, Bauer Nexus 800, CCM U+CL, Mission Inhaler AC2 Gloves (since added pro-stock CCM 30K's) Vapor 1X LE with Magnesium Chassis, Revision Flex Wheels. CCM JetSpeed with aluminum chassis and Labeda Addiction Wheels. Mission Inhaler DS1 and Bauer Supreme 170. Sticks: Easton Synergy GX, True XCore9 and A6.0. Warrior QRL. Nike Bauer Supreme ONE90. Numerous outdoor sticks
  12. We stopped carrying Graf in the store I work at because it simply took up space that could be better utilized with Bauer and CCM. Point is, people (meaning kids/teens) aren't coming in to the store saying "hey do you have the new Grafs in stock?" It just doesn't happen and hasn't happened in the 2.5 years I've been there. The only people that ever come in looking for Graf skates are older guys who were skating in it years prior. They're most likely buying their last skate at the time they come in, so they end up going with something Bauer of CCM most of the time. Sure, there's some guys that will end up in Graf regardless, but it's a very slim percentage. They just can't compete anymore.
  13. Found this in my buddy's basement and first thing I said was what the hell do I have to do for you to give me this stick? Traded him a QR1 with a curve I no longer use for it and voila, nostalgia at its best. Stick is still in great condition aside from paint chips that the ONE90 was notorious for. Now if only I can find a XN10....
  14. Excited to give this a try. Loved my CX and regretted giving it away, and preferring more of a mid-kick stick I think I'll like this one too, even after being critical of Easton sticks in the past.
  15. Just finished these today. 1X LE, Magnesium Chassis, swiss bearings and Labeda Addiction Signature Wheels. Still debating whether to take a Sharpie to the blue parts on the chassis
  16. New jets . Actually had a broken eyelet on one skate, little drilling, little epoxy, was able to install a traditional eyelet with no problem.
  17. Saw these a couple weeks ago, and as someone who has and uses Superfeet insoles, I was very impressed.
  18. Smoked my opponent in fantasy football last week for round one of the championship, didn't do nearly as well this week but beat him by one measly point to win it all in a 16-team league #humblebrag
  19. My car was involved in a hit-and-run this morning (right out front of my house too). That's more of a venting spot issue, but fortunately, it turns to a sweet spot moment. Fortunately, I have awesome neighbors, and one who happened to see the oil truck driving away from the scene and relayed that info to us. Police found the guy in just over two hours, and thankfully I have awesome insurance which will take care of the whole thing for me. And for the meantime, I get to drive around in some American-made for a change (I've been a Honda guy since I started driving).

  21. Sorry to disappoint then, because I do use the top eyelet! hah I just take it all the way out when I'm unlacing.
  22. I'm in love . Need to get the new wheels/bearings but they'll be good to go for Thursday!
