  1. edit HG12's sold, price dropped on HG97's Two pairs of pro stock gloves for sale: 13" CCM HG12 Team Sweden team stock. Worn a few times and in near mint condition, loops in tact and liners are part of the cuff so they're in tact as well, some sharpie on palms from previous owner, easily a 9.5/10. Asking $145 + shipping. SOLD 14" CCM HG97 from the Colorado Eagles. Gloves have shot blockers which you can remove if you so desire. Liners and loops in tact, slight pilling on left palm and some sharpie on the palms (#79 and something crossed out) but other than that I'd give these a 8/10. Asking $70 + shipping ($10 at most in US) pics: Untitled by Jon Schusteritsch, on Flickr Untitled by Jon Schusteritsch, on Flickr Untitled by Jon Schusteritsch, on Flickr Untitled by Jon Schusteritsch, on Flickr Untitled by Jon Schusteritsch, on Flickr Untitled by Jon Schusteritsch, on Flickr
  2. Geargeek posted about spotting a handful of guys wearing them back in January, not sure how many stuck with them or will wear them going forward but they're out there. For me, I like the concept and how the stuff will be custom made to contour to your head exactly but I would never try it since it doesn't get past the first test for me... the helmet is ugly (plus that's a ton of money for a helmet). Put that tech in a 4500 shell and you'd get so many more people interested lol. But honestly I switched from V08's to 910's a few years back b/c it was the first "modern" helmet that looked good to me (I tried several other models over the years but they never passed the mirror test), I know I'm not alone in being this shallow 😆
  3. Shock Doctor has had a sleeve lock short for the past 10 or so years, it works great and is a nice quality shirt at a fraction of the price of the warroad. You can usually find them on sale, last one I bought was maybe $30 or so on sale: https://www.shockdoctor.com/products/core-compression-hockey-shirt?variant=39863890870444 with that said, I switched back to short sleeves but might try the Shock Doctor again since I've been having some elbow pad movement issues on some pairs (my old U+ CL's never move but leave a lot to be desired protection wise lol, they're pretty short top/bottom).
  4. I looked for a rabbit hole, couldn't find many photos but here's a couple that show the stripe bunched up, I'm sticking with my hem job theory but have no explanation for the CCM logo 🤣
  5. Maybe they added the stripes post-haste if he had a pair of pants he liked or didn't like whatever they had to offer/didn't want to break in a new pair? I don't know, I'm just trying to think of any conspiracy theory at this point.
  6. ahhh ok, I've had stuff like that to patch rips on the outside of my son's gloves, I think it's actually meant for tents/outdoor gear so it's pretty tough. Held up well on my son's gloves but he was only 9 at the time and not the toughest on gear lol. Padskinz is similar but heavier duty and the adhesive is a lot stronger but also quite a bit more expensive. This is the old school site I was thinking of, "the palmsaver", site looks like it was made in the early days of internet lol: http://thepalmsaver.com/
  7. What's the product called? Link doesn't work on my work computer. I had that same wedding band hole on my gloves, when I had them re-palmed by ITR I had him do a Kovy overlay which extends just past the ring area on the fingers, works great so far. I know there was a company out there that made leather patches for palms, I think even full sized palm patches with adhesive and all, not sure if they're still around but I remember the site looking very old haha. I've also wondered if padskinz makes patches for palms, their patches for gear is super strong and bonds really well, wonder how it would be on palms.
  8. Maybe just a quick hem job by the EQM to shorten them up? Almost looks like extra material just on the stripe, not so much the entire outer pant shell.
  9. That looks way better than the hack job I did to my 19K liners 😂 I did it by hand with a speedy stitcher, also my liner had more curves at the bottom which made my life hell haha. I now have tons of that material I'll prob cover lots of stuff with lol
  10. I picked up a pair of Warroad socks, they were super thin. Really nice materials and constriction but way too thin for my liking. If you're close to a size 9.5 shoe I'd be happy to send them your way since it was a "one and done" for me with them.
  11. I noticed the logos looked cheap too, wondering if pro stock versions might look better lol. My teammate picked up a 720 and I was checking it out last week. He has a medium which was wayyy too big for me and said they felt like they ran on the bigger side compared to the 910 (looking at the inner padding it did seem thinner overall from the shell to the inside of the padding so that would make sense). My complaint about the 910 is the thin outer layers of padding/coverings, they create pockets where sweat lives and will not dry... for example, after airing it out overnight hanging in the garage then hanging outside on a fence for a few hours I can still squeeze lots of sweat out if I simply touch the forehead area, it's nasty, I've even tried washing and soaking and it hasn't done too much for the stench, so that is one thing I was hoping the 720 might help with. I still haven't had a chance to get to a store to try one for myself in my size (I'm an hour+ to my closest hockey shop, my blades need sharpening so I'm trying to plan a trip soon lol).
  12. It's a pet peeve of mine 😂 I have one pair that folds in way too easily and it really bothers me.
  13. It's a traditional 3 pc design, same as Jetspeed/U+/RBZ, some Warrior models, and a bunch of others (as opposed to the 2 piece style which the elbow/forearm is all one piece). The images above show the bicep guard (not the forearm padding) stuck inside the elbow cap on the bottom pic, it should slide on the outside of the elbow cap not the inside, so the top pic is how they should go.
  14. Just be sure it's the OG Profile II not the second gen one, don't make the same mistake I made 😞 I ended up finding another OG one on SLS for about $30 shipped which is a backup now.
  15. I think the waist would be fine and depending where you like the thigh pads sitting you might be ok. I have mine adjusted -1" and they sit just above my knee cap pad when standing, a little on the longer side than most like I'm guessing. They can go as much as +1" so you might have to try them on, or get a large to be safe.
  16. Bump... still have this laying around. Willing to do $150 and I can bring it to SummerJam if anyone is interested.
  17. ITR is a glove repalming/repair guy, he does great work but it's a dying art which is actually quite difficult and labor intensive (which is why the premier gear specialist, Custom Pro Repair, up in Montreal is calling it quits after years of working for the best of the best). https://www.itrhockey.com/repair.html For what you're describing my guess would be probably around $100 but that's just a guess. I had a pair of loves re-palmed with fancy materials and new airknit gussets and it was about $180, I would not spend that if it were a pair of gloves that are easy to come by.
  18. I compared a small 910 to a medium Super Tacks X and the 910 was noticeably lighter. I don't remember the exact weights (I used my trusty coffee scale lol) but it was surprising (the 910 small is not much different size wise than a med. Super Tacks X so I thought they'd be closer than they actually were).
  19. I'd contact ITR to get a quote (they do great work) but I'm with JBear, I don't think it would be cost effective.
  20. That's how it is with other brands but what I've seen is reversed for Warrior, the first two characters denote the blade construction (T8 for QX, T9 for QREdge, and some others I haven't seen much of). Here's an old thread discussing them (also if you google T8LXP you should get a result from HockeyLion that describes the shadt/blade codes on a stick they have a for sale):
  21. I don't remember exactly since I've been wearing the ST for like 3+ years now but I know the ST I have adjusted up to the -1" mark and it sits just above my knee still (I'm 5'9"), so I want to say the thighs run a little longer but not 100% positive lol
  22. The Super Tacks tailbone padding is much better than 9K tailbone padding imo, it covers more area to the sides with segmented parts and extends farther downwards. I have not tried other pro stock options but have had Coopers back in the 90's, Tackla, and Easton and had a Bauer wrap style for a little bit that I hated (I prefer more traditional step in girdles or the CCM hybrid style like the 9K/ST). Overall I find the ST girdle more protective than the 9K was and it's lighter, it's a win-win for me.
  23. Sounds like a legit LX2 Pro with a QX blade (T8). I'm not familiar with the difference in blade builds but the T8 seems to be very common/popular.
  24. No way youi'd fit a medium, I'm a 32 waist and the medium is perfect on me. The thigh pads are way narrower than the 9K was, I would go large if I were you.
