Best bands that you're not listening to.

www.myspace.com/shipwreckmv = crucial.

Shipwreck is an amazing band and they've had a knack of getting on the best tours/pick up the best shows the last two years.

Uh yeah. They will tour Europe soon, which i like. Im actually only into this Boston/MV Hardcore stuff like Guns Up! and other bands im too lazy to mention. Check my last.fm, dude: www.last.fm/user/BluesSinger for pick ups.

Speaking of bad venues: anybody ever seen a show at Arrow Hall in Mississauga? I was there last December for a Brand New/Dashboard show. The good news is that Brand New kicked ass (though they opened and the set-list was pretty short). The bad news is the fact that they were up on a stage in a building with all the charm of an airplane hangar. By far the worst indoor venue I've been to.

I also recommend Guns Up! they have been one of my favourite bands for awhile now. Sven you also listen to some really good music like Blacklisted, Cold World, and Have Heart which i would also recommend

Unfortunately, Guns Up! broke up. But last summer they toured Europe and i toured with them (a friends band toured with them and i was their merchguy) and it was great.

Have Heart is here at the moment, but im not that much into them.. More into Ceremony (also from the states).

Next year, i want to go to Sound And Fury fest and This Is Hardcore Fest. Have you ever heard of those shows? If not, google for their myspace site, you can see the amazing lineups.

Uh yeah, here are videos (this years Sound and Fury!!!!!) -> http://youtube.com/user/SoundandFuryFest

Sound and fury isn't bad but the kids out west are just douchey as can be.

This is Hardcore is run by solid dudes, is a better run festival, and it involves bands like the mongoloids who don't like going out west.

Maylene is awesome...I picked up both of their discs a couple months ago and couldn't get them out of my car. Great for driving to the rink. The new one is more a rock album than the first one, almost more AC/DC but with that southern metal flair.

Listening to a band called Swift lately, part Killswitch Engage, part 36 Crazyfists, part Chevelle. Kind of gloomy but it's pretty good.
