Can anyone go a little more in-depth about the aluminum t-flex shafts? i might be able to get my hands on one

Tapered aluminum shaft. LOL

I used a T-Flex 85 forever. It ended up bending and I still used it. Man I just loved that shaft so much. I wish I could find a new one again, I'd use it in an instant.

I don't even care if shafts these days are so much lighter/durable I just loved that shaft.

I'm constantly perusing Ebay for new GX 7500's...Honestly, if an OEM was willing to make a few pairs of GX 7500's or 9500's with split fingers, I could die a happy man.

I've got double-jointed thumbs, so lock thumbs are painful to wear, and between the unfettered wrist movement, mobility for a long-cuff glove, and the fact that my thumbs don't feel tied down...I was given a pair of S9's and used them for all of one period before going back to my GX's.

I know of a mfgr that can make that glove :)

The GX 1300 and 1350s were, and still is, my favorite glove. They don't make them anymore, (if they do, or someone does, hook me up) and I was wondering if anyone knew where to find any. I'm also hounding ebay, but with no luck. :(

I did find them here: http://www.midwestskate.com/Hockey/HKgloves.htm

Has anyone ever heard of these guys or place before?

I emailed them, but with no luck so far.

Also, I have an aluminum T-Flex shaft in my garage. It's the silver and blue one. Used by one of the Seattle Thunderbirds. But nothing will ever beat the T-Flex 85. I loved those things to death. I had 3 of them, and when they all finally broke, I was devastated. Went into withdrawal for weeks...

Hahaha...that would have been a great web site in the 90's

Check out the Mylec 125 Pro Goalie Mask they have in black or white.

I would'nt get my hopes up being able to order anything.

That should show you how desperate I am. :(

I did find a craiglst posting with the 1350's in San Fransico though. Only a 4 days old listing. Guy just needs to respond to me, which, is always the problem these days.

Regularly checking ebay and settling for a slighly used pair (maybe new if your lucky)would probably be your best bet.

Damn...between me and the GX 1300/1350 disciples, we could form a little GX series mafia :P All we'd need is a Ryder truck and some shady business partners with bootleg tape decks...

Slightly used, but they are now mine.

Craigslist is my new bestfriend. :D

I'll have to do a little touch up and get 'em repalmed, but that's a small price to pay for these gloves. :)

Hell, split the fingers and a little more protection on the palm-side cuff, and you'd have a rather popular modern glove...

I had a pair of GX1350's (Black) but gave them away before I moved back to MKE along with the rest of my old equipment I didn't use anymore. I didn't really like them because they were so stiff.

I dunno, to me, the combination of a real floating cuff, the offset angle of the fingers and knuckle breaks, which actually conform to how somebody's hand closes when they're holding a hockey stick, the thumb mobility, the palm construction, the fact that the GX series was one of the first gloves sans lacing where you could customize the mobility of the wrist and cuff per your own specifications, and the semi-functionality of the air/gel cushion in dispersing impacts...It was a revolutionary line of gloves.

See, to me the break angle of those gloves were what made them annoying to me. I had a pair of gx7500. I was a Louisville TPS NHL series guy and a huge fan of the top end vic gloves form that era with the coolmax. Those were way ahead of their time in terms of weight.

I miss the tackified palm more than anything.

In 1996, I bought a pair of Cooper BDP Pro Nylon Knit gloves from Perani's on closeout(what else?) in St. Louis Blue team colors for $60. They were 4 roll gloves but came with a special long wrist cuff above the thumb. The gloves featured a full black tackified palm I have never seen before or after. On the side of the wrist roll was the name "Hull." That all black tackified palm is perfect. I'll never get the gloves re-palmed because I know I will never see a palm like that again.
