Vapor X:60

Its a skate and were asking for sketches? Please when it is time to see them, I am sure we will see them. How desperate could you be to see a pair of hockey skates that customers will most likely buy for their kids or for themselves and then worry about what pair is coming out next. Patience is a virtue.

thankfully my patience testing ended when i bougt my XXV's. now, i'm like "meh... when they're out, they're out". but if i was still looking, maybe little different, yes? uuumm, no.

:P

We are not really talking about tastes but more about classic boot look... and the fact that one95 has nothing to do with that kind of look...

But dude to like the one95 AND se vectors you definitely just have bad tastes

ohh please please tell me what is a good looking skate in your opinion, and if possible a skate that is in production....

What were we talking about? vapor x:60, neah.... I think it was something else, but I can't remember, oh well :P

That's the problem, nothing in high end range, in production looks good at the moment <_<

Few years ago when a top of the line came out => it made everyone get an hard-on straight away!

That's not the case anymore

No more WOAAAAAH effect <_<

Looks like you need some Viagra.

I kid, hopefully the new Bauer skate is indeed looking great.

I would have to agree on 'going south'... I mean, asking for sketches? Anyone who's been a member of the forum for more than 2 weeks knows that when the timing is appropriate, we'll all see it.

Wow sarcasm much? I can't even believe anyone took my request for a composite sketch seriously, that speaks volumes about where this thread went.

Internet much? I think it's just as easy to pickup sarcasm in braille.. The persistent moaning for pictures that 'barely' (and in barely, I mean that reputable sources even state there's not a whole worth seeing) exist. It's a lil' over the top.

Well, the Vapor XXXX stick has been out for a couple of years so I'm anticipating a Vapor X60 stick to be launched with the skate.

don't get your hopes up, I don't think they'll launch 2 major products in the same time

Don't forget, they're back to Bauer now, and have acquired MIH.....there might be more than one new major product launched in order to keep their status in the business.

Skates debut in the spring/summer. Sticks come out fall/winter. Just in time for x-mas.

Wow pretty impressive Chris, I didn't think you knew that!

My bet, if there is an X60 in the works or testing then there could be some masquerading at One95's. There were a lot more Vapor XXXX's last year than I'm seeing this year. That could be the reason.

or they can be hiding them as vapor XXXXs because the packages of the one95 and a vapor skate look NOTHING alike.

the skate will be built on a different last from what i understand, and will have some different foams and graphics. it's pretty easy to slap some old graphics on stuff.

I know to us equipment whores, it seems like equipment has been around a while since we know about it a year before it comes out but it was just this time last year (oct 15 to be exact) that the latest vapor stick line was introduced. Its barely been out a year. There are not any prototypes around for the next line yet. Pros won't see them until around the begining of the new year and a new graphics package will be seen around the end of the regular season and it will come to retail next fall.

Sorry for getting off the skate topic.

Timing fits for the two year cycle. Vapor X:60's developed/tested in the pros this year, showing up with X:60 graphics in the spring, released retail next Oct/Nov.

After everything that has transpired in the past hour, I really suggest that if you have any pictures of the skate, please don't put them up. You may end up costing your rep his job and/or losing your account.

I just picked up a pair of X60's. Cost was $650.00 CAN but he said they will list for $699. They are quite comfortable right off - alot like the 40's. They definately have more volume around the top 3 lace holes while the top of the foot area and the toe box seem very similar to the 40's. I noticed significantly better heel lock (not sure if it's the heel pocket or the new hydramax liner that makes it feel that way) so I decided to try these.

I really loved the 40's but my heel was slipping and I was starting to get Haglunds. Hopefully these bad boys will work out better. If not I see some one 75's in my future.

Someone on this site said he thought they were more stiff than the 40's. I have to disagree. The 40's were bricks and these seem more close to the XXX's.

I'll give them a skate tomorrow morning and post a review if anyone is interested.
