Ran a 2:10 800 and Pr'd in the mile by 30 seconds running a 4:55 in really crappy windy weather!!!

Not bad for this early in the track season, I can't wait to see where I get down to at the end of the season.

Looks like you'll be in Altamonte/Maitland then.  My parents still live in Casselberry.

Office will be in Maitland.  Looking for a house in Maitland or WP, hoping to keep the commute to under 15 minutes with an option to bike.

Thanks for the offer, but we have an area lined up north of the city.

I'll definitely have to checkout the Solar Bears and will be making trips to TB when the Rangers come to town.

when you get down there try doing this:

I'd love to play softball. Unfortunately they don't accept individual sign ups here. You have to be part of a team already. I'm not sure how I'm supposed to manage that.

There's a boatload of leagues around Boston.  The league I play in has many, many long-running teams (the league's been around since 1978), but there's also a free-agent day before the season starts where coaches can pick up new players, and anybody not picked is assigned to a team based on his or her rated skill level.  And, of course, the GLBT community is fairly small so word travels quickly about the league and who's looking for new players.

Sweet, NHL playoffs on my AppleTV while in a Georgia hotel. And even better, it’s the CBC stream so it's decent announcers!

Yeah as opposed to the brutal NBC guys. The less time I have to listen to Doc Emrick screeching in my life the better.

Sent the young pup & mom to Chicago for a tournament, played 9 holes in men's league, took tomorrow off and now having beers watching playoff hockey.  Though I'd like to be in the Windy City, I'm going to get some chit done & bonus, skating with my son Sunday.

Oldest kid got a concussion two weekends ago playing volleyball...sucks that she got a concussion, but sorta cool that she was going so hard in volleyball of all things.  My wifey called me from the tournament in a panic that she was taking the kid to the ER to get her checked out.  Hockey coach brain kicked in and I calmly told her, "Keep calm, take her to your mom's, put her in your room, turn off the lights, take away her phone, make sure it's quiet, get her plenty of liquids and let her rest."

I sent my better half with her to the neuro specialist the next week and he asked what we did to care for her post-injury.  "Kept her calm, took her home, put her in a dark, quiet room, fed her liquids, and let her rest."  "Yep," he said.  Concussions are scary, but it feels good to not just feel helpless/powerless or conversely tell her, "rub dirt on it and get back out there, ya just got yer bell rung".

She went back to school today.

We're off to Seattle this weekend for the Lyndsey Fry camp.  Lyndsey was cool about giving us a partial refund and will still let the older daughter attend the dryland talks. :)

Younger daughter got the invite to attend the Northern Plains District Development Camp in Grand Forks next weekend.  :D

Replaced the bad transmission mount in under 10 minutes. No more clunking and squeaking!

She's a pretty incredible coach at such a young age.

Younger daughter got asked to come back for tryouts for their club's AA team to go to the Beantown tourney in July.  Awesome for her.  But I'm seriously not ready for this!
