Go Stevens, they are great. If you can't get them, PM me and I'll send you a pair from switzerland.

I used one pair of unpadded Stevens for two years now and they do great, with a nxg pant below.

For next season I hope to get hands on a pair of CCM HP100.

I have both Combat and Stevens and greatly prefer the padding and look of the Stevens. I wear a Farrell padded short under my Stevens and find the protection very adequate.

looking at stevens pants with pads and Bauer offiical's referee pant with intergrated girdle.  I have read a complaint that Bauer's pants are very shiny, is that true?  Looking for pros and cons to each Thanks!

Yeah I didn’t like how snow pant like the Bauer’s were. 

The CCM PP8L are by far my favorite as far as fabric type.
