Can't speak for anyone else, but I had a great time!

found this gem while in a youtube rabbit hole yesterday... I knew the logistics of a team on the road and how much work the trainers and crew put in, but I'm amazed at how much more extreme it is in the bubble, literally shuffling them back/forth multiple times a day, pretty nuts. These guys behind the scenes deserve a ton of credit for making this happen.

Definitely a weak goal but when your offense lays a goose egg, its tough to blame the 'tender.

PayPal also offers refund on return shipping on purchases made with paypal. Up to 30 bucks a return , 12 times a year. It's a great feature. Used it quite a bit lately bc of covid

That was the plan. I actually think 3 pairs will be sufficient. My plan was to get these for the new R1s. I honestly don't need them, as I converted a pair of 1Ss to Sprungs for concrete rinks, but they are more fragile than I expected. I'm thinking about just swapping them for the R1 frames and keeping the second set of Sprungs for when my other set on my 2S Pros go. (The other option is to keep both sets of Supremes with Sprungs for indoor and just wait till one pair is done before using the other. Then I would get the TF7s or 9s and use the R1s on those for outdoor. Not sure if it's worth it though, plus I don't really have space for another set of skates. I know myself and if I could just go try them on and walk out with them I probably would do it, but to order online and hope to get the right size, even if I can still return them, is not really that appealing to me. Then there's the added question of whether or not it is wise to drill a third set of holes in the 1Ss, or if that will affect the outsole durability and strength. My assumption is that it's fine, but I'm not sure).

What I'm worried about is having all of those skates around. I have two little prankster toddlers who manage to get into everything, but I don't have any space to hide 4 pairs of ice skates. I'll have to figure something out, but it might be worth it to just drive out to long island Edit: nevermind, it seems like Pure hockey isn't running the rebate promotion... Meh. Maybe I'll just get Grafs. Maybe I just won't spend money on skates I don't actually need... Dilemmas, dilemmas haha

Details are out: There's a larger Pro version with an interchangeable base: https://sparxhockey.com/collections/sharpeners Not sure what other benefits come with the Pro version. Uses the same rings.

Thanks for your response. Can't say I've experienced the same thing with any shims I've created as they're shaped and drilled while stacked to maintain uniformity. I carry 1/16' and 1/8" LDPE sheets.

I wear Projekts in a non-checking league. I find they’re a good mix of protection and maneuverability. I went down to low end Eastons at one point, but took a spill into the boards and my shoulder wasn’t the same for several weeks. I acknowledge that the shot to the heart may be 1-in-a-million, but if the weight and fit don’t bother me, I might as well have that covered, too.

I got a similar response from my skate guy. I asked about how I could ensure getting a good fit into the TF7/TF9s and he said he can pull up my previous scans and if it doesn't fit then "he's not doing his job properly". But he also said that the regular measuring methods would be good enough as they are "hella mouldable".

I have found in the past when I have layered multiple sheets it allowed more flex and shifting of the shims as compared to a single piece which provides more structrual integrity. If you go with multiple layers you will likely have to bond them together once you find the height you specificaly want and your screws/rivets will also come lose over time due to the stacked materials.

Why not? Curious to hear your explanation.

A summary so you don't have to watch that garbage... AS2 Pro was lighter and taller than the AS1 but I didn't notice any improvements to warrant the AS2 Pro to even exist. Blind test didn't tell me anything either.

Islanders fans on social media just rolling in the filth tonight and I couldn't be more happy about it. Two years in a row of making it further than the Leafs.

Best part about it is I only paid 350$ for all of the sportcourt. Totally worth the price in my opinion.

I wear a t shirt underneath and just have elbow pads directly on the skin.
