I’ve been hunting these down for almost a decade.

Dallas unveils what is quite possibly the worst uniform in NHL history.

Neither. It wasn't even a slap shot. It was a wrister from the top of the circles. Glove is fine, it just caught me in the wrong spot because I had my hand angled the wrong way and took it right off the thumb. It's no different from a baseball catcher taking a foul tip off the thumb of their glove. It's not a lack of padding so much as just having the joint jarred backwards. Basically it bent my thumb far enough back that the joint where the base of the thumb and the bone it connects to ended up touching each other directly. It was a tiny avulsion fracture, so small that the orthopedic doctor said she wasn't even completely sure this was the original injury (she had asked if I'd had this happen before and I said yes but never anywhere near this bad to where I straight up couldn't move it). I got my cast off last Friday, wore a brace for one day and while sleeping that night out of caution (doc said to start using it immediately but to protect it if the situation warrants it) and haven't worn anything since. At this point it's like it never happened, mostly. My wrist was more sore coming out of the cast than anything. I have nearly full range of motion and nearly as much strength back. I'm really lucky I didn't damage either of the ligaments. Now that I can put my glove back on, I might take some photos to demonstrate exactly what happened because it's honestly hard to explain.

Agreed, but I applaud them for attempting to come up with a creative solution. These are uncharted times, the more innovation and creative ideas brought to market to test the better. The best solution will win out in the end - so far it seems the CCM Game On mask design is way out in front. So please keep it up CCM, Bauer, Howies, UA, everyone - we need solutions that satisfy the health authority protocols and keeps our players safe and back on the ice where they belong!

Just picked up a couple of CCM masks for my kid's helmets for roller hockey since we just started back up the other week. My daughter wears glasses and was having fog issues with a regular mask so I'm hoping this will help her out, so far it seems to sit nicely on her face and appears that it will allow air out the sides towards the back better as to not fog the glasses as much. My son's cage doesn't play well with the mask... he has a CCM FM40 mask with the attached chin cup (like the old Jofa style, non floating) and the mask doesn't wrap around it well... my solution was to just order a new cage for him that has a floating chin cup so now I'm waiting on that. I bought one for myself too so whenever I can get back on the ice I'll be all set.

The only decent solution is the CCM mask, which acts like any normal mask and will prevent less transmission

These splash guards are as useless. You really think hard breathing isn't going to go around the guard etc. If you're going to play hockey you should be inheriting the increased risk of contacting covid. You're not going to protect yourself more with this. The only thing, imo, that would decrease the risk is straight up wearing a mask, like CCMs.

So it's the worse of both worlds? Not only can it fog, it has grills instead of a clear area where you see through.

Some might recall I had three stents put in on March 2nd. Been a great recovery - lost 24 lbs and got my Ldl down to 25 - but now I am feeling some "stuff" when exercising. Weakness in left arm and chest "twinges." It might all be in my head because I am insane but after consulting with my cardiologist I am going in for another angiogram next Monday (10/26). Hoping its nothing. this time around.
