is the original speedblade holder and the xs holder the same in terms of pitch, holder height, down angle?

I'd have called the one handed wood chop first but I think the ref called the attempted stick lift where the stick is up in the gloves.

Not sure if they put a patch on over a pair of CCMs or if he got new pads? Here's a picture from 2021 training camp. Price had red CCM pads which he hardly wore in the previous seasons. Or they could be all new. Never noticed it, he's got Graf cowlings with the inner foot area shaved out.

They holders are very similar, TUUK Edge vs CCM XS, the biggest difference is in the options for steel.

Yeah, I love those gray cuff roles. I wish more retail gloves had different colors on the cuffs.

Seriously? I dunno man, I did fine with the 4500 for a long time. The biggest tech leap I made was from the 4500 to the e700 and I have a few of those stockpiled, but I could never see spending 450 on a helmet. Not because I don't think it's important but because I don't totally see how the performance is that much better to justify the price tag. My .02.

Cole is on Step Steel. As for that Marlies team with Hosang and McDavid its funny about the story because it's so true. However in the final game of tge OHL cup McDavid was told he was falling because his blades were so low. I offered to switch them and match the profile. Josh said he should. But the captain said it would be bad luck. So he left them just sharpened. He fell on a break away to tie the game and his team lost in the finals. Since then he has always had fresh steel. Profiled and sharp.

It's nearly impossible to tell based on the eye test. I'm pretty sure Modano used something above 1". I don't know many people (in recent memory) who use something deeper than 1/2 voluntarily. With the taller holders/lifts making it easier to get close to the ice on turns I really don't see any reason for using a deep hollow, unless you skate on marble-esque ice. I've also seen most people be able to transition shallower and shallower over time. The one thing that always made me laugh was people claiming their sharpening was "too sharp" after getting a 3/8 and deeper sharpening as that was the "house" hollow, and then going and rubbing their steel on a piece of wood to "dull" the edges. Good times.
