Uni team was looking to make an order of gloves for the year but too many people were on the fence for model so I had to bite the bullet and get a 1 of 1 as a demo pair. Safe to say I've now got people complaining about the wait time for a second run. e: realize there is a separate custom glove gallery... should this be posted there?

Trying out some retail skates since my custom VH are pretty old now.

Honestly, not sure. I didn't get measured for them. I just bought 8.5D and they seem to be right. At least the left foot, the right feels a bit small. But that was after a home bake. I'm going to bring them to a store to have the plastic wrap done. The left feels perfect, though.

Yep, another vote for EZ Goal. I have only bought the EZ Goal for my outdoor rink. I leave them outside year round in Minnesota. The first one I had lasted for five seasons, I think. It was pretty dented up and rusted out by the time I took it apart and put it in the trash. I did replace the netting once on that one. Now I have two more. They are in their second year of use. Although a bit dented, they are still holding up. The only downside is that they are light. So when when they are on the ice, they will slide around after getting hit by pucks. Shoot 20-30 pucks on the ice and you'll move it back by 2-3 feet. Wind will move them too pretty easily - especially when you have a shooting tarp on it. I had thought about getting some net anchors, but I don't care that much I guess. For $100 or so, I figure I can replace them every 2-3 years without remorse. They are cheaper than a new stick or skates and I know I buy more than one stick/skates in a season. With two kids, it seems like a reasonable investment.

Mine aren’t all the same but I rotate them. I’ve had a lot less breakage. Also just like experimenting.

Sorry all I have is instagram I broke my arm so I can’t play hockey yet with them but I’m going to public skate this weekend. They fit like a glove I. The store. They just slipped on so nice with the shoe horn and for the bake. They used the Saran Wrap too so I’m confident in the fit. Real excited.

After a lot of agonizing, I wound up ordering the JAMM girdle. It just arrived today, so I haven't skated in it yet. But on first examination and after trying it on, it seems almost exactly like my old Tackla. The only difference (other than branding) is the butt pad (not the technical term, I realize), which feels more like the pads on more modern girdles than like the old-school Tacklas - i.e., multiple pads, rather than a single one. I obviously can't speak to the quality yet or on-ice performance, but I will say that I'm very pleased with the fit and prefer the feel and profile to the True, Bauer, and CCMs that I've tried on. Here's hoping that it holds up. And, regardless, I'll share my impressions once I skate in it.

Nope, first game is the 1st. And if you live in Canada, I would suggest ordering it from hockey supremacy. On sale and includes an extra 10% discount.

But it should. That's the point. If customs don't fix fit issues, its likely not a fit issue or the user has some misconceived notion that custom skates feel like Air Jordan's.

What is skate profiling Everything you need to know about skate profiling in the link above. My story. I went from a single 11' profile sharpened at 5/8. To something called a "Quad 0.5" which is a 8'-10'-12'-14' profile sharpened at 3/4. It was the greatest thing I have ever done to my equipment. I was faster, more agile and more stable on my skates with this one change. The difference was night and day. After all these years it felt like a miracle. I became a better player over night just by changing profiles. No joke. I will never go back to single profile again.
