Hills is the GOAT with the True Hockey Skate line reviews!

Sorry to quote myself, but... I just dropped a message to True's Instagram account making the case for them to provide Matt with a demo pair of Catalysts to review. I suggest others here write a similar note. I'm happy to reach out to them by other channels if anyone has good contact info for them. I'm sure my Insta message will go into a black hole, but it was the only direct access point I could think of. Open to other suggestions. If we can get enough people to make the suggestion... maybe they'll see the value and do the right thing. I know for me the TF line review Matt did was HUGE to making my purchases.

P90TM is similar to P30 in that it was subtle but had some performance features. I'd say P30 was a P88 with a little more rocker and a kink on the bottom of the toe. P90TM is a combination of the three main retail curves. It's a flatter rocker and wider blade like the P88, with the heel twist of the P29, and the toe beak of the P28. And the same Lie5 as the P30. As someone who used both, I'd say that if you liked the P30, you'll probably be happy with the P90TM. I personally love the P90TM, much more than the P30 (but that may be the stick itself too). The Bauer P14 (and I guess Sherwood PP14) had a similar shape but it was shorter and not as much kink on the bottom of the toe. I wouldn't call it the same.

I think Cole Caufield’s sticks are a p14, if you’re looking for a specific player to look for sticks from.

Hey folks! I'm a goalie starting a new team in the Copper division for the fall season. Looking for players who might be interested. I'm planning to use the logo I had commissioned for a previous team. Please let me know if you're in the area and are up for joining a new team!

Miller pretty much nailed the state of play. I’ve always been partial to Franchise, Eagle and Easton in that order. Warrior’s decline at retail has been catastrophically bad/embarassing. Not sure if it’s a rising materials/input cost issue or the product design team is totally clueless, or maybe a bit of both. CCM 4 rolls are OK, Nexus Pro Series are nice but not worth $200.

Thinking about it more, it is a little weird that the Vapors are the only line that have the injection eyelets anymore of all skate options out there. About 50% of NHL players use Vapors or an older Supreme that had injection eyelets as stock. Although many of them might have custom designed their skates to have traditional eyelets. I guess if the injection eyelet technology was that great more lines would have them or give them as an option with custom fitting.

Agreed, the picture is just to demonstrate that it is ok for the toe to be in the air, as that was OP's specific question.

Is any curve "designed" to carry a puck a certain way for every player? There are too many factors involved for that to be a hard and fast rule. In the picture of Johnny, remember he is one of the shortest (if not THE shortest) in the league. With a higher lie curve (P92 for example), the toe would be even further off the ice. I'm about the same size as Johnny. I like the P88 because of the lower lie allowing me to keep more blade on the ice most of the time. If you are taller - I doubt you'd have much issue keeping the toe down.

Here's a picture of Gaudreau carrying the puck using a P88. Notice that the toe is not on the ice. https://imgur.com/a/7ynqDDD

Cool, had no idea. I've watched some of his stuff and have found it good quality. He just gained me as a subscriber.

Unfortunately not going to happen unless True or someone sent them to me. I don't have the connection to get what I used to anymore 😞
