  1. Tried them on recently. Heel lock was good compared to bauer but not as good as in s17 territory. Tight skate in the forefoot and would wrap well when baked i think, depth issues to be expected for a lot of people, did not seem like a deep boot at all, not sure if baking can fix that.

The extended tongue was bothering me a bit because it was not put really nicely inside. Build quality was ok, a bit of extra glue here and there and the stiching was not best at some spots.

Overall great skate but i would definately not pay 900$+taxes for this skate.

  2. ^ sick gloves

The sticks I am using now. All Sakic clones, 75 flex except the ST 65 flex, I got it after reading that grown men weighting 200+lbs sometimes use intermediate sticks and wanted to try this crazyness they talk about, so far not digging the shaft dimensions that Easton has but it need to try it on the ice.

  3. This kid does decent reviews. Here with the Mako he states that they run wide in the forefoot and got a D even tho he uses EE usually (I would guess he was informed by Easton). Not good if its the case, starting to get tired of the width of my S17, making another wide skate does not really help with negative place as they try to eliminate it.

  4. I always remove my equipement as soon as i get home to dry. Never had to use any fancy alcohols/vinegar or whatever you people use. I wash everything in washer except pants and shoulder pads ( i have ripped them before in the washer so i just wash them in bathtub occasionnaly). My equipement has no smell and stays fresh is washed regularly (especially jerseys, jock, socks, knee pad liner).

  5. it looks to me like the fit would be more like the mlx skate (at least i hope), it looks narrow at the heel and a tight fit overall, but thats judging from the pics. I dont think the fit would be the same as the EQ line since that line was pretty much a failure in the sale aspect, at least here in Quebec.

  6. A really good look at the tendon guard.

very nice craftsmanship, its starting to grow on me despite the orange. Krev do you know if these fit the same as the s17? or will be narrower in the forefoot like the mlx lets say? I love my s17 but i find them a touch too wide in the forefoot.

  7. ^and in what way would that bother you? no really, its his gear, hes showing it, and if he wants to he can sell it the minute after, next day or in ten years as far as im concerned. I enjoy any gear posted here, and i hope people continue to post gear even tho some people are offended because some of the gear ends up on ebay.
