Nothing beats Darn Tough's warranty!

How can you not be a fan of skates fitting correctly?

Absolutely. And one of the better goalie sections you'll find anywhere, if you're into that kind of thing.

Worth the drive up anyway. The store is massive.

No issue with durability on either VH or retail True. Next pair will be custom True.

Glad you're back out there, man! Please tell me you put a cage on? :)

This is what I'm trying to get
Stick Hand: RH
Flex Profile: Bauer g15f (vapor X:60)
Flex: 82
Shaft shape: -1 round shaft, like the sherwood ek15 series
curve: Close toe, Like the old pro Kovalchuk/Zherdev
Blade: sharkskin blade
Stick height: Tall
Which topic are you talking about?
EDIT: Ah, I had to do some digging. It was just another pointless overseas knockoff stick thread, like this one, from over three years ago.

Damn dude, that doesn't sound pleasant.
You need like a frequent flyer card for medical shit or something. Like an automatic upgrade to the first class waiting room.
MarkI think in America that's called "hitting your out of pocket maximum".

The matte black is amazing compared to these.

Totally agree. Some of the best on the market too, imo.

Yeah, I don't like it either. Though, I do like it better than LA and Vegas's metallic helmets.
What I DO like are the 3D logos on helmets, when they aren't ads instead.

Well that looks like bullshit.

Referee shin pads have a strap on that flap. Always wondered why player shins don't after seeing it the first time.

Hey at least this is your first time ever in a hosp.... oh, no wait.
In all seriousness, holy shit. That's crazy. I always think of things like losing a tooth as being "horrible" results of a puck to the face. This is horrible! Hope it goes well and that the tylenol gets upgraded sooner than later!
Time for a cage?

It's also really easy to claim something in china is "made in the same factory". That's probably a factual statement. The part that is missing is whose materials, tooling, and processes, and QA are they using because it's not uncommon at all for multiple companies to share factory floor space but thats very different from being from the same production line.

Maybe the way they do it in some tournaments (and personally I'm in favor of this for lower division beer league too) where icing is called from your own blue line instead of the red line. I like it because if you get out of your own zone and manage to ice it, its usually just a missed pass or not reaching the red line. Keep the game flowing, I say.

If its printed with enough infill, standard PLA should be just fine.

I never understood why they didn't make the goal crease a semi-circle again after they dumped the stupid foot-in-crease rule. They cut off the sides of the circle so you wouldn't have goals waived off because somebody was standing beside the net, but never put it back. Always seemed odd to me.

Also I just want to say how jealous I am that your team has somebody who can fill in...

Some good info in the OG "starting goalie as an adult" thread here:
Some of it is going to be outdated now (leather straps and skate cowlings are dead).
Maria Mountain is a good resource for everything related to the body - stretching, warmups, etc. https://www.youtube.com/@goalietraining
There was also a DVD series I bought when I first started. Its a bit old but still covers fundamentals pretty well. I ripped it because I dont have a DVD player:
Finally, I'd HIGHLY recommend using a gopro behind the net. If you're not gonna have a coach, it will help you be able to see what you do wrong, mistakes, angles being off, etc. -
That should work fine. I think this one is pretty close to what you often see on some pants https://www.bluemoonfabrics.com/products/ribbed-spandex?variant=36438311862426¤cy=USD&utm_medium=product_sync&utm_source=google&utm_content=sag_organic&utm_campaign=sag_organic&gad_source=1
