Hey Mike, I was using 5.5 vapor inline skates and never had the opportunity to use my JR powerfoot inserts in them. I quit playing inline and am now in a size SR 6d vapor x500. Can I use my JR inserts or do I have to order a new pair of SR?
I tried contacting customer service but no response...

Thanks guys, I appreciate all the advice. I'm going to see what my tax return brings and look at some pads!
Flop: that's actually a very good thing to consider! no offense taken.
It's going to be a pain to find skates though. My foot is so weird.

Hey guys. I've been lurking in this forum for a little bit. I'm thinking about starting to play goal. However, I suffered a lower back injury about a year ago that I might be stuck with for life. I also have some knee issues but those are from being overweight at 5'6" and 275.
I guess I'm asking if goaltending is hard on the lower back? I know it can be on the knees. I'm also getting back into the game after a little bit of a hiatus so my skating and everything isn't up to where it should be.
Should I stick with playing out first and then maybe look at goaltending? Or go for it now? I'm not sure what to do.
Any help is appreciated!

I need to find these to try them on. I've had so many problems with skates.

I received mine and I'll post some feedback after my first skate with them!

I went with the Junior size for my Bauer 5.5's since that was what the site said as far as sizing. They should be arriving anytime soon and will test it out once they come in. Hopefully they're not too small.
I did as well. Same size in Bauer's. I'm hoping the same!

Hey Bolt ... Not a dumb question at all. The JR/SR only represents the size [not age], that being said you're real close. Technically right on the line [JR goes from Y13 to 5.5]. I would lean towards the SR as you can modify it down if you really had too. Also the brand of skate comes in to play as well. The great thing is we look at your skate size and brand when you place an order so we can make sure we suggest the best options for you.
Also, keep in mind the POWERFOOT comes with a satisfaction guarantee, if the initial POWERFOOT sent doesn't fit the toebox [see what I did there! lol] we’ll make sure we get you the right size.
Let me know if you have any other questions and thanks for your interest in the POWERFOOT!
Great, thanks. I went with the SR so we'll see how it goes! Eager to report back!

Hey Mike!
I wear a 5.5 skate (technically junior) but I'm a lot older than that. Should I still use the JR powerfoot insert? (May be a dumb question but I want to make sure before I order)

When you go outside to shoot some pucks around but you can’t even make it more than 10 minutes without being in intense pain from a back injury from a car accident that was a year ago... oh and you were just about to start playing on a club team at university after not playing since May 2013. Awesome.

Anze Kopitar Shell and Chicago Wolves socks. I'm on the hunt for Kopitar's gloves now!

The biggest difference is that the NXG's cuff is a lot more open. I personally liked them a lot more than the original TO's. They fit snug but the cuff doesn't restrict movement anymore.
Awesome, that's what I was hoping. Thanks for the responses guys!

Anyone have a chance to try on the new Supreme NXG gloves? How do they compare to last years Total One gloves?

how'd you get digital palms?

I agree. The 7000s are a little snug.

So that's where those HM Wings pro stock pants went....
Only one pair :)

Went to the Lets play hockey expo and saw the new Covert DT1 gloves.
What a disappointment. They were ugly.... Shoudlve kept the luxe look and simply renamed it and improve protection by adding plastic inserts throughout.
That weird air mesh on the glove and the disappearance of the Silver Shield. Almost looks like a Mission glove.
Stitched logo made it look like a quality glove but id take the luxe anyday.
I was depressed they didnt showcase the new protective gear.
They know how to throw a fun atmosphere and had sick pro stock gloves and stick to showcase.
Still love warrior but i think they dropped the ball on the new Covert Gloves.
They're really comfortable though. The new liner is really nice.

I've finally been able to use my inserts for quite a few skates. I absolutely love them and will never wear a pair of skates without the inserts again. It's amazing to feel the difference in your skating!!
