  1. can't forget about the guys who think they are tough because of thier size. I'm about 5'10"/190lbs, last week the other team had a Dman about 6'4. I play alot in the front of the net and don't mind taking a beating as long as it's honest. I pull up in front to get position and this guys starts laying into me good and saying "you gonna try and out muscle me in front of my own net" like it was suppose to intimidate me. So I respond with Yep and change my position. Next thing I know this guys starts butt ending me in the side of the head. After about 3 wacks I had enough and retaliated with a good solid cross check. One of my team mates comes in to pull me out and the guys starts in on him with a week cross check to his face. I get 2, he gets a game. Completely uncalled for. If you can't play the game or don't have skills then practice instead of trying to hurt someone.
  2. It would have been better for them to put the puck deep in the zone and play it around the boards without really trying to shoot than to just toss it back out of the zone and play keep away. That way you would have felt like you were still competing. I would call it being douchey. There is alot more ignorant things they could have done.
  3. They are also in a lot better shape than us and their bodies can handle it. There's also a large degree of "we've always done it that way" attitude involved in the way athletes prepare for games. Even if you could prove that it was going to do them harm, it would take a while for many of them to change their habits. Mario use to say about what the difference between his training during the off season and during the season was that he didn't order fries during the season. that was the mentallity of alot of players 15-20 year ago, now players train and mantain thier eating habits year round. You have to change with the times
  4. To each his own, I guess. When I was younger, I had groin issues from time to time, and it was when I didn't stretch before-hand. <_< All pro sports teams still stretch before a game or practice, so it can't be that bad, can it? These teams have the best of the best as far as fitness personnel is concerned, right? I'll keep strecthing until they all stop. :P they warm thier muscles up by doing various things prior to stretching. If they go directly to the trainer for strecthing the trainers usually do a good massage to the area to get the blood flowing.
  5. I think taco bell is killing off spokespeople. Billy mays, 1 week before he died, signed a deal to sell taco bell items through infomercial style commercials. it's probably thier food
  6. Silvertide, They are good old rock and roll
  7. time for you to find another line of work
  8. Honda's usually last a long time. We already plan on handing down my wife's 2005 Civic to our son in 3 years. Used the On-Star turn by turn feature on our trip. You give them an adress and they download the directions. It works pretty good. It takes some getting used to your radios stop playing and a man's voice telling you what to do. I think the should give you voice options...I'd preffer a sexy women's voice or even the computer from Star Trek. And for those times when the wife stays at home, her voice. I would have her yelling directions just like she was there.
  9. Just got a new hockeymobile. 2008 H3. Took it on it's first road trip this weekend.
  10. sometimes you can't blame people for bringing someone knowledgeable in. I have been in to many pro shops that had people working there that had no clue on what they were doing.
  11. you should have picked up the skate and used the blade as a pizza cutter...then offered him a slice.
