didnt felt a little slower? i have vapor x7.0 LE with black edge and when i switched to these i felt a lot slower :( but confy AF

No, if anything I felt faster. They are on the heavier end of a modern skate, so that may contribute to that feeling slightly, but for me I didn't notice anything. They felt a lot better and I skated a lot better. I was coming off a pair of Graf's I truly hated though.

  2. Just picked these up for $449. They are by far the most comfortable skates I have worn in a really long time. They remind me a lot of the original vapors. Really impressed with the feel so far. Can't wait to get them on ice.

And of course, yellow laces have already replaced the stock ones.

Hey guys, do any of you know how the M8's run in size compared to the Supreme One95s, or the older Easton Stealth (think S12 ans S15)?  I used to run a 10D in the S12, and went down to a 9.5D in the One95.  Would love to pick up a pair of the M8s since I'm finally getting back into the game after a couple year hiatus, but am unsure which size to go for since there isn't anywhere nearby I can get to in order to try stuff on.

I too am curious, how the M8s compare to graf sizes. I wear 9 in grafs. Should I go with an 8.5D in M8s?

Okay so I talked to Ron Kunisaki, the president of BASE Hockey, and he's willing to make two moulds of the carbon P10 Shanahan (one left-handed and one right-handed) if we have enough people who are serious about ordering. These would be our premium moulds, which are built to last, so the curve would be made available to the public for any future orders as well.

I'd be all over the Shanahan if it was the newer type. Especially with that square toe.

It is a shame. As a Graf user I have always had positive experiences with Graf skates (currently in G9035)I also like to support the smaller independent guys Base, True, Eagle, tackla, etc as they offered something different to the table.  I know economics play a large part but it was nice to have the options out there.

I am the same way, I have a True stick, eagle gloves, graf skates. I like those guys who really try to specialize in mainly one thing, I feel they do a lot better job. I am going to be sad if more of these companies leave and I am left just taking whatever Bauer/CCM deigns to give me.

  6. I got some new Eagles. I have wanted them since I was a kid, but was never able to get them. I am absolutely in love with how comfortable they are, I have had Bauers, CCMs, Warriors, Hespellers, Sherwoods, Coopers, Missions, Random ass ones I forgot about. These are by far the best right off the bat.
