Here is an Ovi Pro Stock vs. an Oshie Pro Stock. The Oshie I believe is a regular P08. They start the same but Ovi's twists/opens up at the toe.

I was surprised/happy with how snug they were for 14" gloves. I'd say they fit closer to 13.5" which is perfect for me.

Yes, I am in a D width 68K. I think the newer Ribcors are wider than the previous generation but I never tried those so I can't say from personal experience.

I had the same issue with the Nexus in terms of it being great for my forefoot but too big for the heel. I'm in Ribcor 68Ks now and I feel like it's perfect. It is nice and tight on my heel and works great for my forefoot.

For those using Step Black Steel on their Sparx, does it require more passes on the first sharpen to get the edge set up than regular steel? I've got fresh Step Black that I'm going to be sharpening for the first time today so just trying to plan for how many passes to make. On fresh LS3 steel I usually do 10 and then put market on the blade and do 2-4 more until it's completely gone. Any one else have other experiences worth sharing?

I hope it works out but I know I wouldn't accept that issue with the carbon fiber on a skate at that price point. Hopefully they are able to make things right for you.

haha well that would be interesting. I didn't mean bland in the sense of not enough colors but just boring. I had like all their previous third/winter classic choices so I had high expectations.

I like some of the finer details like on the numbers but overall I think it's sort of bland.

Not sure this provides much context but this photo appears to show his name on the stick so it wasn’t borrowed.

I got the Easton version of this bag on clearance from Hockey Monkey (https://www.hockeymonkey.com/catalog/product/view/id/309587) and really like it. Been using it for 3 or 4 months now without any problems. It has plenty of space for all my gear and I really like the separate compartments for my skates and helmet.

It will be interesting to see if he goes exclusive with anyone or switches around all year. Looked like in the game last night he was all CCM except his gloves and pants though I was watching on my phone so may have missed something.

On page 10 of the thread Steve said the following:
"We've tested it up to our "7 years of team use" standard which ends up being somewhere north of 15K normal sharpenings. That number roughly comes from one team of 20, sharpening twice a week, for 52 weeks a year. "

I've sharpened/touched up skates at least 3 times a week every week since February and I've run into no problems at all.

I was happy to see that they've added some additional grinding ring options in the last week or so. I ordered an 11/16" ring which I think will be the sweet spot for me.

My first sharpening on that steel I used a height setting of 5. I actually have a pic of it as I had asked for advice on their forum on if I should use a 4 or 5.
