Maybe a TF7 from True would be worth a shot. Should be some deal on them currently

Influencers are our generations commercials and Kay-Bee Toys Catalogs i guess, whether we like it, understand it or not.
We're part of a dying breed, Hapsburg. Like people who can name all 50 States.

If I remember, I thought there was a brief period Bauer removed Kanes name from retail sticks, but I thought it was earlier that 1X Lites.
like Hills said, have home remove that trash tape job and show the barcode, plus the serial number stickers. -

We've went through the Speed Plates too. First version seems like a super high arch. Really like the 2.0 but they're so heavy.
So I just emailed Bauer and said I wanted to buy a couple of pairs of the insoles that came in our UltraSonics. Here is their reply;
Hi,
We do not sell these as an aftermarket product, we sell the SpeedPlate for this usage. I would also recommend looking at SuperFeet insoles.
Thank you,
Jacob

I thought the reply was ridiculous. They can't sell any replacement "parts" for their products?
I'm guessing they cannot, simply because they don't keep stock insoles around. And if they did, they'd package and sell them to retailers the way CCM does.That being said, a generic Bauer retail insole at the retail level wouldn't be the worst idea. That being said, these are pretty close replacements to stock;

By Warrior measurements, 60" is stock retail, 63" is 3" taller than stock

Bump, these had a bad holder but I replaced both with new. Would rather make a deal here before SLS

They’re nice if you like expensive repaints.

So, it’s light, I’ll give it that. But I don’t see any major weight or construction differences compared to a HyperLight. At first inspection it appeared the elliptical taper started higher up the shaft but only slightly. Also the lower third to half of the shaft has no grip. Not sure it’s enough to justify the price hike, but I haven’t tried it yet.
graphically Bauer knocked it out of the park, the stick looks great. Interested to see how it looks on TV, I’m sure that’ll be the real determining factor.

All of this and +1

I have feet similar to yours minus the bunion issue. I’ve had luck with the last two iterations of JetSpeed in D width (surprising to me) so I’d recommend those in a wide fit. Plus you have the trial and fit guarantee

I can’t say for sure offhand but LS3 was designed taller and meant to be profiled
-
LS3 steel was made in Canada and much higher quality imo. At least compared to LS2 LS4 and the like.
but there’s plenty of step and Tydan floating around for Edge holders -
Depending upon what’s available in your area, or where you’ll be sending them, you could start with a cag one profile. It will simply add a flat area for stability as you adjust. Something like a 25/40 might give you stability as well as feeling more like your larger blades.
I’ve personally felt Quads and the like are too involved for your average adult skater, but perhaps a 7-10 or 9.5-10.5 would suit you well. -
a previous iteration of Lightspeed with the screw attachment would line up exactly with what you currently have and be an easy swap. Also easier to find higher quality Step steel or the like

Pretty cool set. Black and Vegas gold with HB logo
pants are Covert DT1 Sr Large. Used, some wear on the inner thighs but still very good shape
glover are Vapor team 13”. Shows use but also plenty of life left. Right palm is more worn. One plastic popsicle stick protector showing (see photo)
both items freshly cleaned.
$100 plus shipping. Or shoot an offer. -
The more i read through the comments, the more a "college level hockey player" turns into "former ACHA player turned beer leaguer who doesn't take very good care of his gear."
I wonder if those skates have ever been left to dry since the day they were new.
(I have no bias against ACHA players, I used to equip many of them and saw them do exactly this to skates they took poor care of)

PSH added a bunch of PP05 stock sticks this week in varying flexes as well
-
Creasing like that imo is less of a quality issue, more of a sizing and volume issue. I would also question how well they were taken care of.
But I would agree that top end skates are built more for performance than durability

He’s also fortunate to have not missed significant time to injury. I wouldn’t mind seeing him get close to 99 or pass him. Records only mean so much if they’re from an era where no one will ever touch them.

Shaving cream would definitely do the trick, but luke warm water would loosen it up in the short term as well

Platinum are a nice option for US SFS customers, a step down from top of the line but nonetheless a nice skate
