  1. Those XXXX's came out great. I love the red highlights. That's how hockey skates should look, not all grey and white and shiny but black. Seeing how nicely that came out I may be tempted to experiment on my brand new One75's to get rid of the silver up near the tendon guard... hmmmm.

Maybe be you can try to dress them up as one95's

  2. Hey Rust - it's stamped as 300, which I think is 80ish. The lie is about 5.5. I lined it up to a TPS Afino (5), and it's just a hair steeper, but not quite a 6.

Are you righty or lefty? I saw a Hartnell (lefty, heel) Dolo Spyne for sale at the Flyers SkateZone about a week ago.

Right handed. If you can get another Turris for around/under $100 or want to let yours go, give me a shout.

What is the spyne jobby supposed to do?

What? if you mean what the spyne blade is for, well its supposed to reduce blade torque (i think) so resulting a more accruracy.

I wouldn't say torque so much as just blade stiffness. Torque implies twisting and blades tend to lose their curve and flex during a shot more than roll. The shaft torques as well, which is the premise for the geometry tapers companies are putting out.

yeah sorry, im not a big warrior guy

  3. Did you get that Larose ST on ebay?

Yes, for $90 for a Drury 85 stick I figured it was a good price. I didn't figure it was the new ST with the rubber blade, but I like Easton sticks a whole lot anyway. Was it your auction?

Rubber blade? I have the new ST and i don't think it has a rubber blade

I haven't looked at an '08 retail, but I thought the SHOX thing was like a rubber pad on the blade or something, like the One70 blade.

by the way, the one70 blade technology is called Re-ack blade or something....... the one75 has it too

  4. Hey Kabarov, how do like the 5K roller skates. Looking into getting them but hear the chassis is terrible

to be honest i probably dont have the most constructive feedback on these skates as i am more of an ice hockey player than roller. I bought these last year when i was invited to play on my buddies roller team. I literally bought these 1 hr before my first game. the LHS had a great deal on them so i picked them up. first game my feet were screaming. next day i went back and had them baked... and picked up a set of superfeet greys. seems like i lost a bit of volume by doing this but skates were a little more comfortable. they feel like bricks compared to my 9k ice skates though. i used the 5k rollers for 1 season and so far they have held up great and the wheels and bearings seem to be doing fine as well. i wouldnt hesitate to pick up a pair.. just make sure they fit your feet well.

cmon, your comparing 5k rollers to 9k ice????????
