it may just be me but has anyone else felt that the X-60's run a bit big? i tried on a 7.5 in the 60's and it felt big where as in both xxx and xxxx's i was a solid 7.5. i tried the 7 in the 60's and it felt much better though, anyone else notice this?I think they run big also; about a 1/4 size. I always felt the bauer 7 was a little big for me, but the 6.5 was too small. The 6.5 in the vapor 60 is just right for me.

A quick google couldn't tell me the exact measurement but since they are the same LS2 holders the same size 7 on an older skate will be the same, you know in case you had a Vapor XXXX, XXV or XVI sitting around to look at.I've had a few size 7 bauers in the past, and they've always been 263.
-
Can someone with the X:60s in a 7D tell me what the holder size is? Thanks. :)I think its 263.

Anyone using it in the Stanely Cup playoffs?

Does anyone here have feedback on issues with the ridge betwen the two different materials lining the inside of the boot. Sometimes that ridge can cause problems with tender parts of the foot, especially if the ankle bone is a bit forward. No problem for me.

Vapors seem loose for me too, but if I get a size smaller, their too small.Mabye Supremes will be perfect then
I always had this exact same problem with bauers. For some reason though, with the vapor 60, the "size smaller" skate fits me right. I wish they were still a little more snug, but I've got somewhat low volume feet, and the vapors are still, I think, one of the best fitting skates for people with low - medium volume feet. They're still the best fitting skates I've had, and I've tried a lot of different skates.

I tried on a pair of 60's at a local shop last night. I think they are definitely deeper than the xxxx's. Too deep for me, but a very nice skate.Went back and tried on a half size smaller, and they were much better fitting, and I got a pair. Best heel lock I've experienced in just trying a skate on. Hope to skate in them today or tomorrow. Might have gotten a 50 if they'd had them, due to price though.
Skated on them today. Best skates I've ever had on, no question. Heel locks like no other skate I've ever had. They're stiff but comfortable at the same time. Beautiful lining, light, and look good also.

You're missing the point. If you make a custom skate, it's going to fit your foot. It will address any volume (or lack of) issues that you may encounter.
Thanks. I didn't realize volume issues could be addressed with a custom order.

Sorry about that JR, but last time I checked the bauer catalogue it didn't say anything about the x:60 :P .Cheers :)
IF you have checked it recently I uploaded the entire thing.
Checked them out. I love the liner and the insole! To me the depth of the skate looks like a Vapor XXXX with a size up in the quarters. It's a nice skate, so is the X:50. I was impressed.
So, the 60 is deeper than the xxxx?
A size up would mean a deeper skate, it's pretty obvious.
Can you order a custom skate a size down? That is, get a 60 that fits like a xxxx?
Why would you do a custom skate order to fit like another skate?
How about to fit your foot?
Think it's time for a vacation.
I meant could I get the length I need, but with a shallower boot? Sounds like it might be good for me to have the fit of the XXXX but with the new liner / other features of the 60.

On the issue of the depth of the 60's, can anyone compare it to graf g5's or the ccm skates? Still less deep than ccm's?

A question on the 60's: Anyone know when they'll be available to custom order?

Any chance any shop in So. Cal. will get a fbv sharpener?
-
puck it, that makes sense. Preliminarily for me, though, I didn't feel any loss of speed, and the shorter holders had a less "clumsy" feel to them.

Skated for the first time today in 254's, after having skated in 263's for a long time. No problem at all.

I guess my question is, is there really any less steel in contact with the ice with a 254 as opposed to a 263? If the blade is just shorter at the ends, the ends aren't usally in contact with the ice anyway, or are they?
-
Aside from the comfort level, is there any loss of speed with the shorter blades? Someone told me there would be, but since the radius is the same and the amount of blade that's actually in contact with the ice is relatively small, I'd question whether there should be any loss of speed.
-
WSJo22, just wondering if you've gotten used to the shorter blade yet. I'm considering a smaller skate, and going from 263 to 254. Also, I'd be interested in anyone else's comments. Thanks.
-
What generally would be the difference one would feel in going to a shorter blade. The radius would be the same, but would it have a tighter turning radius, but less glide?

Just curious if people don't like the e-pros because of looks, or is it performance. I agree the tuuk's look better. Not sure about performance, other than maybe personal preference.
