I've been feeling unsure about whether I should go all in and get a Brown Hockey 2000 Jock or go with something more fitting and supportive like the Vaughn SLR Pro Carbon. When going back and forth and looking on the website I noticed the Intermediate 2275 Jock, and how unlike the 2000, It doesn’t have the Shock Roles. Now I'm wondering how this compares with the 2000? Specifically I'm wondering if it would make more sense for me to go with this model without the shock roles given my own concerns about the 2000 possibly giving too little support on its own due to it's Shock Roles keeping the cup further away from the jewels, and how the cup on the 2275 looks to sit closer to the body with its lack of shock roles. I get theres some cushioning inside both cups but I’d like to make sure theres not so much empty space in the 2000J that things are too loos. I’d like to feel comfortable and maybe have a little bit of support with out needing jock/shorts Again I get the “shock rolls” on the sides of the 2000 jock are there to cushion impact and keep the cup further away from sensitive areas, but would there be enough foam or cushion/material on the inside of the cup between the player so that things are relatively supported without the need of adding a jockstrap underneath? like I mentioned, Keeping everything together isn’t as important to me as making sure things are reasonably/comfortably supported, as opposed to being more loose to bounce around. though It looks like the cushioning inside the cup could possibly be enough to allow for things to feel comfortably snug/supported. Hopefully this would be enough helping keep the movement inside the 2000 to a minimum? Though back to the 2275 Jock, with its lack of side roles, I wonder if there is a potential risk for things slipping out during game, and whether the intermediate has a different/smaller cup than the 2000 with less accommodation? (Mind you I’m not lacking in that department) Any one who has experience with either jock or can offer any advice is appreciated!

Hi there! Hope you can help me with the correct shoulder pad sizing. I can have these Bauer Supreme One.8 shoulder pads at a really sweet price. They are sized Large (5). I am 6'1", 170-180 lbs, chest size is 39 1/2". So technically i fit somewhere in between sizes Medium and Large, according to Bauer shoulder pad sizing guide. I don't have any local hockey stores nearby so all i can try on is these Large One.8's. Lengthwise, they meet my size Large girdle just right at the spine area, and cover my ribs at the front nicely. As for width, i stretch velcro straps to their maximum position to sit firmly on my chest. One thing i don't quite get is if the shoulder caps are sitting right? I will be playing in contact league, but the level of play is average. If there are other guys with similar body proportions, please feel free to post which model and size shoulder pads you wear. I took 2 pictures of myself with and without shoulder pads on if it helps.

Hi Guys, I'm currently working overseas and there are no hockey shops available to try on skates. I'm 5' 10'', 200 lbs, have Flat and Wide feet. I recently got back into Ice Hockey, had my Graf Supra 705 skates shipped from New York. I'm size 9 wide on Graf 705. After 2 skates, I have intense Lace Burn on my left foot, after some research I realized I failed the pencil test on my Graf skates by a small amount. My feet measures about 27 CM length and 10.5 CM width at the widest point. There are no stores around me to try skates on. I can only order online. I have no budget. I just want to get back into ice hockey for the exercise and fun. After some preliminary research, I've realized most great brands like Graf and Easton are out of business. I was considering very seriously the Bauer Nexus 1N skates from Bauer - Size 8.5 EE? Or CCM Super Tacks EE or Ribcore EE. I would appreciate it if anyone had any advice for which Brand - Line of skates I should order and what size. I cant believe my old glory Grafs gave me lace burn to the point I had to get off the ice after 1 hour of skating. Thank you for reading this.
