Who in the hell plays in a low level beer league to be an instigator? Had a guy on the other team tonight that yanked my stick out of my hands once, then tried to do it again later in the game. Hammered me with four or five cross checks and slashed me a few times, just for good measure. I eventually lost my cool and Bertuzzi'd him when he wouldn't let go of my stick for the third time.

I love Modano as much as anyone but I would hate to see him hang on as a fourth liner. The Stars made the right decision and Modano obviously knew it was coming with his little North Stars jersey episode. Let him ride into the sunset instead of making him fade into mediocrity.

Had one of those guys at stick 'n puck yesterday, of all places. The guy giving lessons was wearing a cage, and wasn't really all that good at skating giving somebody else who was better at skating than him, lessons. Me and some of my younger brothers friends were playing 3 on 3 at one end and this guy comes over, tells us he's going to use the ENTIRE ice for a private lesson and for us to beat it. I told him he could go f himself and he shoves me. Mind, I'm 20 years old, in a half shield with logoed equipment and jersey for my respective team, and he's maybe 40 something in a cage wearing jeans... you would think he'd know better. I laughed at him and told him he can go get the manager of the rink if he wants us off the ice. Which, is exactly what he did. We resuming playing, and about 5 minutes later he comes back with the manager (unknown to him, I used to work at the rink and am good friends with the manager). Manager sees me, looks at the guy, laughs in his face and tells him how much it would cost to rent out the ice to get us off, and walks away. The two guys ended up leaving, and I felt kinda bad for maybe half a second.

^ that sounds like a whole different type of situation than what mik3 is talking about. Cage or no cage, that guy was being stupid trying to use the whole ice. I'd probably say he was being a dumb unreasonable guy.

I had a guy do something I though was kind douchey at the last drop in I was at. Me and a few others were doing some 3v3 in the neutral zone and one of the pucks went down where an old guy and his young (10yrs old?) student were having a private lesson. Guy doesn't bother to help us out and send the puck back our way...no big deal, whatever. So I skate down there to grab a puck and the guy starts barking at me telling me to get my own pucks, so I just told him that I shot it down there and he stopped. No apology or anything, kinda douchey if you asked me.

Oh and the dude was wearing a half cage....not really sure what the point of that is, full cage = protection; half visor = vision; half cage = ????.

Got my leg and hip twisted up pretty good in the last playoff game we won. I'm off ice 10-14 days. I couldn't play the next game and we lost. Afterward, the asshole captain tells me, oh, good luck finding another team, we're only carrying 10 players next season. Total bullshit. I was the best defensive forward on the team and scored a half dozen goals and 7 or 8 assists in 10 games. He's an effing moron anyway, but that's not really the point.

Anyway every Stick and Puck there is a 3 time Stanley cup Champion giving lessons and taking up at least the whole neutral zone. He is always doing stupid stuff, like one time I chased a loose puck into the neutral zone just to retrieve it and he skates behind me and pulls my skates out from under me with his stick. I said WTF man? All he said was stay off my part of the ice. So I am like WTF ever... Everyone is so scared to say anything to him because he is a Stanley Cup Champ blah blah... A cup and a ring isnt an excuse to be a DIck

If a little kid skates buy him he will stick lift the kid.. But he will hit his stick so hard that the stick flies up like 20 ft in the air. He then yells better hold on to the stick tighter.

Anyway yesterday they were taking up the whole neutral zone plus an offensive end. Mind you it was crowded on both ends and both ends were shooting on Goalies... So he keeps skating in between us while we are shooting. So I wait til he gets in front of the net and toss a wrist shot as hard as I can at him. I nail him in the shin and he goes down. He gets up yelling and screaming and telling me ,'lets go idiot , you and me right here. ' I simply said " Stay off our part of the ice" and skated off. It has been a highlight of my young hockey career to date, ok 3rd only to my first goal and my beginners team 1st win.

I agree 100% Joey, for my job communication is key, but it seems like 50% of the emails and phone calls are never returned. And while some of them I need answered for my benefit but, most of them that I send need to be answered for their/recipient's benefit so I can help them out.

Also, I hope I never run across those types of people that Nick and Krev had to deal with at stick and puck. I would be so pissed....

Lightning pick up Tanguay a season after a rather serious shoulder injury, he has a down season and the Lightning just let him go. No chance for redemption, no acknowledgment that he actually played well, despite lack of scoring... Nothing. Way for the organization to not learn anything from the Vrbata ordeal.

Then they dump Meszaros who sucked as a product of the Lightning's unwillingness to bring in someone that could do anything for the defense... not learning anything from the Lukas Krajicek and Matt Carle ordeal. You'd think they'd figure out the issue was with the system when at minimal four defenseman leave the Lightning within a couple years and either become all-stars(or Olympians) and/or lead their teams deep in the playoffs.

So I found out my neighbor that is the most annoying person on the face of the Earth, was arrested three weeks ago. I would assume that it would have been for drug trafficking but it turns out he got arrested for child pornography.

The part that he was caught and arrested should probably be in the sweet spot... but knowing this sleazeball did this just hundreds of feet from my front door, sickening.
