Warrior Stick Customizer Program

Recommended Posts

I just picked up my custom Dolomite at the LHS, and they're definitely ~63" from the factory. I play with a fairly long stick, and I'm probably going to end up cutting off 1.5-2" to match my other sticks (going to take it out for a spin in warmup tonight first though).

Thank God! I was starting to worry I was going to have to learn how to play with an 80 flex if I had to add a plug.

i read thru the whole thread and saw that a couple different users have asked if the custom paint jobs goes all the way down to near the hosel area but Miseaujeu in his answer said the widow does but theres no mention of the dolomite, so for those that have received there custom dolomites or miseaujeu, does the color you choose go all the way to the hosel/blade area when ordering custom dolomites?

There's a chrome dolomite in a picture one page back. They say a picture is worth a thousand words.

Damn! I ordered mine Sept 2nd (although it was the 6th before it was a business day), paid rush and mine is still in production. I check status at least 3-4 times per day!!!

It arrived!

My name!

Next to a total one blade with a p92. The versteeg has less mid curve and a little more toe both curve and flair. The versteeg has a slightly lower lie which I love!

Versteeg on its own!

Coloring and graphics I went with.

Again coloring and the bad ass custom shop logo!

I set these up for the 17 inch monitor so I hope they are not too big.

Looks great man. If I get a custom stick, I would probably go with very similar, if not the same, graphics.

Thanks for taking a picture of the actual Versteeg pattern too! I've been wanting to see it for awhile.

Looks fantastic. Great choices.

Did you do the rush order through Ice Warehouse?

So was I! It was a little nerve wracking waiting for a curve I had not seen. Ended up more than pleased! Slightly different than the p92 which I have been using, but different in the right ways!

No. I did standard order. Less than a month. I guess I got lucky! Either that or it was quicker due to it being only one stick.

A big THANK YOU to WARRIOR!

Next up custom Pants!

Length is long I assume?

What is the square handle and super grip like? Any retail sticks to compare too??? I considered both (ended up switching to traditional handles).

Super grip is not as tacky as I feared. In fact it is a pretty awesome combination with the raised edge grip. The Square handle is not as thick as I expected. My AK27 shaft still feels thicker in my hands. But I think that is because the walls have no concave, the Dolo still does. Yes it is longer than standard. Just like a retail widow. I still pu about an inch on it. But I am 6'6 barefoot. I am very excited to use it tonight. Nice balance, and the sharksin blade sure is grippy! All in all I am very happy with this stick! It is hard to tell in the picture, but when you really look at the blade you see the toe kink at the very end.

Is the Versteeg as open as the P92?

Not in the mid section. In person it is almost straight through the mid after a little heel kink then it opens up in the toe about the same if not a little more than the p92. The big difference is the extra toe curve that is later than the p92 and it has more of a neutral feeling in the mid section.

And it is a longer blade as well. Plus the lower lie.

What flexes are you guys going with that know you'll be taking a decent length off of the stick? I use a 57" stick from heel to end, so I'll be taking off around 6". Not sure quite how much to go down in flex to compensate for that.....

iirc, you used the harrow pattern 11 in the past, correct?

can you comment on how comparable(if at all) that is to the versteeg curve?

I have used the pattern 11 and these play completely different in my opinion. The toe curve on the pattern 11 is more like a kink where the toe on the Versteeg is rounded. I guess the way the pattern 11 bends at the toe is more like the bend at the heel of a p91a or drury. The Versteeg is more like the p92 or even a slightly more open gionta it is rounded through the curve. The heel section of the pattern 11 kinks at the heel as well. The pattern 11 to me was a heel curve and a toe kink. The Versteeg is one curve and it is beautiful! It is everything I like about the p92 plus a improved lie, rocker, toe section, and blade length.

The heel section of the Versteeg to me is flat and straight. It then opens slightly mid section and the curve really stands out late mid through the toe. The length of the blade is longer as well and the rocker is much more usable than the pattern 11.

I

Where are these made? If they are Canadian made wouldn't they ship from Canada instead of Anaheim?

Still say made in Mexico.
