I think it would be pretty sweet to have Ovechkins custom CL for the same price as retail... but im a lefty :(

http://cgi.ebay.com/CCM-U-PROSTOCK-STICK-O...=item2304b204a3

obviously hes not an idiot...

Maybe I'm wrong but why do I have a hard time believing that Ovechkin uses a 75 flex? Thus making me doubt these could be really "his" sticks. Maybe I'm not understanding what they mean by "his".

Ovechkin is well known for using a light flex, usually between 75 and 82.

ovechkins stick say 75 flex on them.

Well, I guess I was wrong. :) I never would have thought that. I guess I just thought that most pro's would generate so much speed and torque that they would require a stiffer flex. Thanks for the enlightenment. Now I don't feel like such a wus for using a 75 flex myself. :D

he's using the shipping calculator... it wont be anywhere near that amount. i've shipped a helmet from vancouver to halifax for less than $20 w/ canada post... mind you, it wasn't express post.

Not an idiot. Worse.

Ain't worth even $20

It's screened, well worn, sweaty, BLOODY and 20 years old from a person and a team I've never heard of...and it's never been washed in probably 2 decades. You couldn't give me that thing, let alone sell it to me. Not to mention "Don't remember when I obtained this but it's the REAL thing!!" is not exactly what I would expect as far as authenticity.

How do you expect to find a buyer when you don't mention the brand, team, or anything about the gloves in the heading except that they are Hossas? Not to mention the opening bid is way too expensive.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...D2#ht_500wt_924

i dont think he is trying to sell them for someone to use. hes selling it as a collectors item, not pro stock gloves. hence why here is no brand or size because the buyer he is looking for generally wouldnt care.

Agreed, he's trying to sell based on collectibility. Now, whether or not he's got pricing right...sounds high to me, but I haven't researched the market for such items.

most interesting is the seller's Ebay handle: 313waddell83

obviously not Don Waddell, Thrashers GM but I know Waddell is from Michigan and has a brother (whom I've met) who probably still lives there. I don't know for sure but could be seeing as the only stuff he has is Thrashers stuff....

I hope you know those are not legit. They are knock-offs. They used to sell these things 15-20$ max while I was overseas.

Recently I saw a guy trying to sell a pair of Sande pants on eBay for just under what you'd pay new. Why would I pay [close to] new prices when I could buy them direct and get a guarantee/return policy?

Because some people will do anything to save a couple bucks.

http://cgi.ebay.com/Pro-Stock-Tampa-Bay-Wa...d#ht_500wt_1182

Claims these are out of the locker room. BS, no NHL shield, retail belt cover, these are just customs.

I have done business with that guy in the past. He was selling some PRO stock skates. He claimed they were PRO stock and even though there were pictures -- I asked him if he got them out of a team sale and if he could give me at least SOME kind of Guarantee that they were indeed pro stock. He totally BS'd me and made up some bogus story. He first told me that they were pro stock in an email -- and then corrected himself AFTER I got them in another email: " My friend bought these ONE95's from his local hockey shop. He didn't like the feel of a stiff boot so he asked me to sell them. "

When I got the skates... AS happy as I was to get some ONE95's, it just wasn't what I paid for. . .

Definitely an IDIOT!
