Not only that, but, the gloves weren't Carolina gloves. This gloves are from the early to mid 80s, far before the move.

I had read they were going to auction/sell those sticks off after the WC and the money would go to charity. The charity part I coudl be wrong about but I did read they were to be auctioned afterwards. Perhaps these are just extras?? I'm not a Rangers or Flyers fan but would love to have one.

If I'm reading your post correctly, you have them backwards. The S19 shaft has always been a standard shaft and the SE16 has always been a tapered shaft.

If you're talking true shafts (the ones sold as two piece combos) then they are how I listed them above. The only thing that the S19 OPS and S19 shaft had in common was the name. jbata was accurate in saying that it was just a repaint of the Z-Bubble.

The pro team over here (Belfast Giants) have one, Theo Fleury just had some teeth replaced and he wore it for like a month then a few other players who took face shots over the years then wore it instead of a cage, fitted with their regualr visors

you are mistaken. the SE16 shaft was a tapered (although not elliptical tapered) shaft that took tapered blades. the red was grip and the blue was non-grip. the S19 shaft however accepted standard blades. how's that for confusing? :)

that's only for one piece sticks though. shafts (2 piece setups) are a whole different animal and tapered shafts have been around a lot longer than the S19 and S17 one piece sticks with the elliptical taper.
