best pic I could find on Google:

it clipped on the front and locked. if you needed air or water or whatever you just pivoted it up since there were no straps to unsnap.

I would never wear just a visor. even in higher levels pucks can still deflect up and take out your teeth. not worth it.

True enough. I just miss it. Oh well, I agree... not worth it.

What is this? An ancient setup, or a future product? Looks awesome.

it's pretty ancient. they made visor/cage combos, full visors, half visors and full cages. I still have several of the cages that I never got around to wearing. loved the cage but at some point I got a new helmet and couldn't make it fit correctly.

Good old Z-Leader. I remember their cage that you could clip up. Pretty neat.

It's just teeth. :) Then again I have not very good teeth to begin with, so it would be an upgrade for reconstructive tooth surgery!

Was doing a little organizing and figured I'd snap a pic of the sock collection. Something a little different.

Amiroo39 - I just switched a month or so ago to the Nexus 1000 elbow and have been real happy with it. I was wearing some old classic Sherwood 9030 and could never find an elbow that either wasn't too bulky, or had enough mobility, but got knocked down on my elbow in a tournament and realized I needed to change when my elbow was a softball. The Nexus has worked out real well for me.

I think some people may find the Nexus 1000's a bit bulky, but they stay put and offer great protection. I mainly got them after I found the Nexus 1000 shinguards to be amazingly protective.

One thing I've done if you have elbow pads that slip down is wear an Under Armour shirt under it and fold it back over top of the lower part of the elbow pad.

Easily the best post I've ever made in this thread.

This was sent to me by JR as a thank-you for the help getting the site back up again.

He told me he was sending me something, but wouldn't say what. I was kind of expecting a Synergy or something for a LTR, especially once a stick-sized box showed up on my doorstep. But nope... what was in that stick box was FAR better. That there folks is a game-used and autographed Drew Doughty stick, used during the 2008 World Juniors.

I was absolutely floored when I opened it. He hit the nail right on the head - being both Canadian and a Kings fan, this was awesome for multiple reasons.

I truly can't say thank you enough to JR for this incredible gift. Wow. I'm still in shock. I had to get a stick mounting kit before I took photos because this thing absolutely has to go on the wall.
