Out of curiosity how did you guys find out about the Warrior sale on Amazon? This is the first I hear about it and I would have loved to have taken advantage.

Didn't realize there was such a massive sale; I'd have searched harder.

I was looking for gloves for my wife and daughter and scored Covert DT2 gloves for $20/ea in 13", but they were the last in their colors; I assumed it was a limited item close-out.

Haven't bought any equipment in almost a year (except for some crappy Tron socks for beer league), then this happens.

Pure Hockey 20% sale got me a the Kurtis Foster (NJD) Bauer 4-rolls.

Amazon messes up so I bought two Warrior Covert DT4s (only received one...)

Stewie hands off some barely used shins for a price I couldn't argue with.

Got me some new Bauer 800 socks.

and lastly, scored a new Bauer compression jock on eBay. Turns out a lady bought them thinking they were bike shorts for her husband. So I gladly purchased the $50 jock from her for $12 bucks, thank you very much...

And a family photo of my Devils 4-rolls in various sizes...

Got myself new shins for inline. IW says that they are for recreational level of play but figured out that for inline they offer enoguh protection and are not bulky while allowing agility.

Those gloves are Warrior's "Official Winter Classic" model.

Don't know why they went with that Franchise print, but yeah, they're Bonafide X spec.

I haven't played since early 2002 and at that time almost all of my equipment was from the late '90's. I've put about 60lbs in that time (damn truck driving) and figured it was time to start playing again. My old stuff is long gone so I had to go buy all new equipment. I still want to get some new skates, but I have a pair of Bauer X20's I picked up a few years ago for now. A lot has changed in the last dozen or so years. Especially stick technology. And I will most likely be picking up a couple more throughout the year.

A couple weeks ago I walked into a local hockey store here in Columbus, Oh and had my own little Christmas in August. Bought a bag and filled it up! This is what I ended up with...

What's the difference between recreational and non-rec? Just a thinner plastic shell? I was thinking about ordering these but if they can't handle a slapshot then I gotta pass.

Wow, 2002? I love hearing about people starting hockey or picking it up again. Welcome back!

Thanks! It's been a long time coming. Wanted to start back 5-6 years ago but life takes you down some interesting paths. I've been back playing 3-4 times a week the last few weeks and Sunday league starts this week.

RBZ Shoulder pads

RBZ Elbows

Bauer MX3 Skates

Warrior DT1ST stick

Bauer Elite padded jock shorts

Warrior AX1 mitts

Those RBZ elbows are quite awesome. Hope you like them after your long search.

I'm not sure. According to IW website and my knowledge, I think the shell has the same thickness, while the liners and foams are thicker, better (doesn't absorb sweat,...) at the higher end models.

Very close buddy. In this case it's the removable liner, thicker foams, better moisture management and the Free-Flex piece near the bottom of the shinny. I'm working on a page to explain general differences between Rec, Performance and Elite Levels of Play.

New Wheels. Been only able to skate in them twice so far. Loving them. Graf Ultra G9035 95 Flex, Tuuk Lightspeed 2 Holder, Step Steel, Superfeet Yellow Insoles.

My decision came down to country of origin. For my money I want my skates hand made in Canada.......Only one company left in the equipment game doing that.............Graf Canada!
